(Years ago there was a picture on the bbs site of ChihAya at -205 meters, but in the process of blacking out and with no possibility of a return to surface under either their own power or being rescued by the accompanying SCUBA diver . (No possibility of avoiding the bends on a return to surface in time to save them.) Since they're obviously not dead, it's likely not overly cannon.)

Humm... Crunching the numbers, and assuming horizontal swimming distance can be converted to vertical at 2/3rds, Chihaya, if she's thinking clearly, should head back up at about 150-170 meters, Aya - who knows, but deeper, and Saki should be turning back at about 120-ish meters. Assuming a 1 to 1 ratio, Chihaya should be around 200 to 220 meters, Aya -deeper by who knows what, and Saki somewhere around 140-150? meters. All of that assumes optimal performance and optimal judgement of turn back point, to just barely reach the surface, probably with flooded lungs, only a few seconds before blacking out. Any of them could push it from 70? percent more to maybe as a much as double that, if they either swim downwards for too long or (more darkly) don't care about making it back up. Aya and Chihaya also have the benefit of the experience of swimming the Tori Ike passage both for maximum distance and experience with dive pre-planning. There's also the important disclaimer that data for Saki is very limited, but that said (probably) shouldn't top Chihaya's figures. But we'll see won't we. : )
