I could definitely see this planting the seed for a new arc surrounding the cousins, Eri, and their relationship with and towards Ken. All three certainly have talent that they could use to try to gain his favor and attention. After all, Eri still needs to make that “round trip to a wreck” that Aya suggested earlier in AGVsG (maybe load Ken up with some Scuba gear and have him come along).

It’s fun to see that at least two of our superhuman heroines, able to effectively stall out their circulatory systems, still struggle with more mundane matters of the heart. Though I’m not sure focusing on an imaginary relationship is super helpful right before what could potentially be a highly dangerous freedive (they should probably try to be as calm as possible).
