I love how heartfelt Aya and Chihaya's relationship is and this scene really helps highlight that. Sweet :)

So without Aya, she might have become an angst filled teen or an emo. Though, now that I think of it, I'd kind of like to see Chihaya and Aya being emo/angsty XD

Love the callback with Chihaya, to how got to the island and freediving. Which is in the earlier stories. Also I guess she felt left out at school/Tokyo. Because I never got the impression that she was unpopular. From the pictures that we have gotten from her school environment.
