I feel that Eri’s too skilled to pass out that easily, and she certainly wouldn’t try teaching a highly suspect technique to the girls now of all times, when the only thing keeping them alive is willpower. I imagine she’s hoping they can get back to visible distance from the surface so she doesn’t have to carry the competitors alone or make multiple consecutive deep dives.
