As a matter of fact, young me was both puzzled and scared of how it was blinking yellow all the time and had random thoughts like the blinks would tell Mrs. Rogers who Mister Rogers kept in his basement was hungry.
Young me’s baseless assumption that this amicable gentleman was somehow a psychopath kept me from watching the program seriously. Darn.

Yes was a revealing moment :-) And now as I rewatched an episode, Mister Rogers was feeding fish in his aquarium in a very nonchalant, detached way - like, says “it’s time to feed the fish” and shakes what seems like a pepper shaker a few times and gets done. Maybe this gave the younger myself the illusion that he was feeding some other living creature under his custody XD
