Catching Up with Ruin Me 0.38.1 Now Public

It's been half a year since the last release, and I've been incommunicado. I'm sorry for leaving you all to wait for so long and I very much appreciate those folks who have continued to support me. I absolutely understand if you stopped pledging during this hiatus and I hope I'm able to welcome you back at some point.
Over the next few days, I'll be catching up with messages and emails I've received. Thank you for any words of encouragement you've sent, and if I don't reply to you directly please know that I appreciate all signs of your interest in my work.
In my last post before the hiatus, I described some of the challenges that release 0.39.0p presented, but I don't think I successfully communicated how difficult this has been to write. I think the concept for the orgy is great, but it was also wildly ambitious. With three axes of customization (party planning, invitee list, and actual choices during the party), writing was very slow. It was just a lot of detail and variation to keep in my head while also writing a scene with as many as twelve characters in it.
I've talked a bit about my mental health challenges here, and they definitely contributed to this long delay. Anxiety and depression, combined with 2021 brain fog, means that I'm not as productive as I'd like to be regarding actual time fingers-to-keyboard. The thought of replying to messages or providing updates without an actual released product to show filled me with dread. I know that's not a particularly wise or considerate way to treat supporters, but brain problems seldom take those things into account.
Moving forward, it's my intent to do smaller releases with the aim of consistency of pace. I don't want such a hiatus to happen again. Specifically, I intend to spread the work of larger scenes/stories over time, releasing smaller things while I work on big things in the background.
I understand any concerns you might have about my reliability and hope to build trust back up! Soon, I'd like to revise the patron tiers and other details here, in the hopes of better matching expectations with what I'm able to do. I'll consult with y'all as part of that.

I did cancel my subscription not because "you weren't putting out versions fast enough" or what not. But without even a "Hi i'm still alive" post I legitimately didn't know if you were dead or alive what with Covid as bad as it is and the world today being bonkers and no sense sending money to someone who might actually be dead. So i'm back now. I do hope in the future you can drop in even if you've got creator's block just let us know you still exist. If you need a game related excuse asks us about our protagonists, do little polls. But let us know you're alive that's the most important part.

Well, I had been one of your top supporters before your hiatus and kept the positivity alive on a particular “zone” thread. You are doing a great job. In the future, as an autistic creator myself who understands mental health issues, maybe be honest and alert your community to the issue. We are all human and sometimes our mental health takes a hit, but I would have liked to know and I honestly wouldnt have turned off my donations to just remind you some fans genuinely want to see you well.
