Emily Lockwoods Friends in The Perils of Babysitting (S2.3)

Take her four friends on an adventure that spans the course of one night as their peaceful plans get rudely interrupted. Each character has their own unique story and as you take control of them you must try to survive the night, there are dozens of different unique ways for each of their stories to end.

Really enjoyed the story but there wasn't any sense of actual stakes nor did it seem much like a CYOA as you usually make it, don't get me wrong still liked it but I'm not so sure this should be called a cyoa as the choices presented didn't really affect any ending of the story as there's only one, only modified scenarios, I agree much with bonesteoca

Thanks for the feedback. Thats a shame, I'm glad you liked some of the story elements though. I agree it is lacking that finality, this was always just a one off experiment though, we'll be back to the regular CYOA format for the next release

Hmmmm....I'm a little disappointed by this story. Actually, no, the story itself is fantastic: the characters, scenarios, and writing are as top-notch as ever. It's just...this isn't really a Choose Your Own Adventure, when the reader has no agency in the outcome, whether that's failure or success. Honestly, when I saw the "choose your character" option, my heart leapt in excitement at the thought of playing through Part 1 four times to determine which girls would be out of commission for Part 2 or something, where the second half's margin for error might adaptively grow or shrink based on how many characters were left. Instead, this turned out to be a fairly fixed, albeit non-linear, story that has only one true "ending", which is a shame. The finality you've given to "bad outcomes" in your past CYOAs are a big reason why I love them so much, because they raise the stakes in a very tangible way.
