🕑 Added 2025-12-03 19:10:09 +0000 UTCAll my most wanted and urgent projects have been finally completed but if you know me well you can guess I'm not even considering taking an idle stance until the 3.0 hits. We have a little bit of time here and before thinking about taking care of a few demands from special members or sustaining/imroving further my older mods, I had something itching my mind : I think it's time for me to bring back 2 old "paused" projects of mine and try to improve and finish them.
They're about two weapons, one for light-sword, the other for two-handed swords. Both will act as visual replacers mods respectively for your Emerald of Genesis (EOG) and Lustruous Razor. Despite being from the standard banner those famous 5* weapons comes with powerful stats and most of us still have a frequent use for them. I already did mods for them in the past but to be honest their base designs were never my cup of tea... I'm not into the crystal, mineral, glowing kind of stuff... I'm more enjoying powerful, yet elegant and simple realistic designs.
So both those future mods will give you a fresh and badass new look for these weapons! Here is a screenshot from my today's blender session and maybe you can already guess where this is going by recognizing the geometry of this blade! And finally, those two projects are also precious since they're opportunities for me to test new tools, improve even further my skills and try to learn new techniques for my future mods.
More news about it soon and may be some mods refinement after that. In any case, 3.0 is coming fast so stay sharp and gather your asterites humans!

We have a conoisseur over here! I think it's more of a katana size, the perspective in the screenshot may mislead you. I thought about lengthen it a bit to reach the tachi or Ōdachi proportions but like you expect there would be severe risks of clipping accross animations and a bit of a illogism if handled with one hand. As for your concerns about the animations like I said to Kajiren, biggest risk is when character are drawing/sheathing the sword. Those gestures are purely linear and that's why sadly we might never have truly curved/katana swords in the future on this game!!! All animations make so far with the sheath would become compromised... On that matter there is a Rinascita green saber (a bit oriental/arabic design) with already some noticeable issues if you look closely (I studied it before jumping on this project lol)

Curved sword, probably a tachi-sized! I surely would enjoy that by A LOT but will this be okay through all animations?

You're goddamn right it is! Or at least I'd say a wuthering waves lore-friendly~like katana. I don't want it too traditional in this game because it would look weird to see one in such futuristic universe. Also don't panic about the shape as this view from blender is not doing justic to the final result, I'll be very careful! But my worst struggle will be to make it fit most of character movement (no clipping) and the contact/draw with sheath/saya (no clipping as well).
