(Old) December 2020 Build (0.6) Slime Pet!
🕑 Added 2020-12-22 16:00:14 +0000 UTCHappy Holidays everyone! December's build is here! The main addition is the new slime pet but you'll also find some minor changes all around town. Having a pet mini game was something that people suggested and also something I felt would be a fun little thing to work on for the holiday season. Special slime candy can be found in the dungeon to feed your new pet and you can equip him with accessories you find around town. There is quite a bit to discover so feel free to share your finds in the comments!

- Re-enabled the shop, however the UI still needs to be updated.
- Slime pet is available from the start of the game but save data from 0.4 should still be compatible.

Note: I include Mac and Linux versions but I cannot test or offer technical support for these versions. Keyboard Controls:
- WASD or Arrow keys to move
- Space for Jump
- Left Shift for Special Action(ie "Crouching" used with the slime form)
- Left Ctrl for Dash
- Q for character screen (Class, Equipment)
- E for item quick menu (outside battle)
- ESC for game options menu(only quit game for now)
Debug hotkeys may cause sequence breaks and game stopping bugs, use with caution.
If you don't want to play through the whole dungeon again to watch the scene with Ash, go into your bedroom and hit F2.
The shortcut to Lukka's scene is F7 while in the bedroom.
- F2 (While in the dungeon) plays a secret scene with Ash
- F4 Skip scene, can skip through dialogue and scenes
- F8 (While in the dungeon) Skip to final boss (hit esc and resume to unlock after using)
Controller can be used but it might be a little buggy right now (The selection cursor may disappear, use the mouse to select something again) See the input tab when you run the game for more options.

Windows10 Taskbar > Right-click Volume icon > Open Sound Settings > Advanced Volume Settings / App Volume Monster Souls should show up in the list there when it is running(alt-tab or run in windowed mode), try checking that it's not muted in there.

Hmm if it was just one build I thought maybe it could have been muted in your volume mixer but I'm not sure that would affect multiple builds, still might be worth checking.

Yes, no sound anywhere in the game. I actually still had sound when I downloaded the November build but after I completed the game and loaded it again, it had no sound. Even downloading the December and January builds still had no sound. I can confirm that I'm using WIndows 10 and other games and applications have sound. Sorry to trouble you but I just couldn't figure out what was the problem anymore.

Alright so you have no sound anywhere at all in the game? What operating system are you using? Can you confirm that other games or applications have sound? I don't think anyone else has reported having no sound so would like to rule out the possibility that it's not just something with your audio settings. Basically the only thing I can do after that is just google search to see if anyone has a similar problems using the same game engine on the same OS and see if there are any clues there.

I'm not sure why but my build/s haven't had sound. I've already tried downloading new ones and even the newest builds but they still have no sound. Is there something I can do to fix it?

That would be a bug, thanks for letting me know. In the final game the player should not be allowed to exit the dungeon until the slime king is defeated but there should be a case where you can avoid getting slimed in the future in which case the slime soul gem would grant the hero the slime class.

Oops, had the same problem and since I got stuck my solution was just to exit and resume and after I did the hero was no longer slimed and after defeating the slime boss, Ash just runs forward endlessly and no buttons do anything. Going to start a new save and see if that fixes it, loving the game a ton!

Came to report the same. Also, if you surrender to a slime while others are still in battle, the scene plays, and then the rest just disappear. I don't know if that's intended or not. I kind of expected battle to pick back up, but I also understand the boys need a little refractory period, lol.

Thank you! I had plans for more slime activities but there was limited time to include everything. If people want more "fun" activities I will consider adding more in the future. Also I'll see about adding that animation to the viewer.

You have to jump at the grate from underneath and then hit crouch at the apex to trigger the transition up through the grate. Sorry that it is not intuitive, it is on my list of things to change.

I encountered a bug in the dungeon, maybe I'm doing it wrong. But the part where you first turn into a slime, and I go back to where the slime escapes to a grate. I can't seem to get out of the area no matter how high I jump. Other than that the game update is good!

In the scenes where the slimes give you... additional essence after Ash joins you, the shadow of the grimoire stays after the scene is over. Other than that, this update is good!

Really enjoying it so far! Just a quick question: it says that a slime pet includes petting, feeding, dressing and "more". I've only found transformation, but wonder if I missed anything. Are there any "fun" activities with the slime pet yet? Also, as I have mentioned earlier, the animation viewer seems to be a bit incomplete as it doesn't show all of the animations sometimes. The example would be a "Solo" animation, which can only be switched between masturbating and resting, but the moment of orgasm remains out of reach for some reason.

As long as the slime pet can provide a tentacle at any time and pleasure its master...Could have it grow up into a big slime monster that doesn't want to rape the hero like the others but offers its physiology for its masters perverse ways...not that anyone would complain. :D
