Build 0.2.2c Faerie Prince (Bugfixes)

- Fixed new party member from incorrectly colliding with ramps.
- Changed new party member to match the level of hero and gave him starting equipment.
- Temp fix for an issue where the game doesn't distinguish your last checkpoint between dungeons making it very easy to skip to the last save crystal in the goblin dungeon.
- Fixed black screen after faerie prince game over which was caused from the game sometimes not being able to find the zone of your last save point.
- Fixed status effects not expiring if their timer is already set to zero.

The new build is finally here! It has been three months since the last one so there's a lot of little changes and improvements but the most exciting parts are the addition of a new party member and the second boss of the game, the faerie prince! There's still a lot of chapter two missing so future story updates will further develop and contextualize the new characters and their motivations.
The battle system has been improved quite a bit with more information being displayed like the addition of status effects, as well as broadcasting of abilities used by monsters. New skills and magic abilities have been added for hero and Ash although some are still in the process of being reworked and need new animations and effects.
Save files are still not in a stable condition so for your convenience I've added an option to the title screen to start a new game at the beginning of chapter two. You'll still be able to customize hero before you begin.

Note: I include Mac and Linux versions but I cannot test or offer technical support for these versions or even confirm whether or not they still work.
Keyboard Controls:
- A,D or Arrow keys to move left and right
- Space for Jump
- Left Shift for Special Action(ie "Crouching" used with monster forms)
- Left Ctrl for Dash
- Q for character screen (Class, Equipment)
- V for transform Menu
- E for item quick menu (outside battle)
- ESC for game options menu
- F4 Skip scene, can skip through dialogue and scenes (It's a little buggy)
Controller can be used but it might be a little buggy right now (The selection cursor may disappear, use the mouse to select something again) See the input tab when you run the game for more options.

Actually you can still trigger it. You have to be in the Ancient Aqueducts (first dungeon) and hit F6. It only shows the default hero skin though since it was added before character customization and other stuff. It's not fully functional but you are free to play with it.

Yes. Some scenes like the bosses are not added since it would be very spoilery and they are more complex to add. They may become unlockable in the future.
Should the Animation Previewer still lack certain scenes? I saw the twitter post about all scenes currently implemented but they are not all in the previewer That is, unless I am doing something horribly wrong when I download or start the program XD

Thank you for sharing your experience with the game. The slime buddy being there while hero is getting laid was so funny and awkward I didn't know whether to hide him or keep him in there. I might add an option to put him away in the future and leave it in the player's hands.

Right now there are a few hidden items that if you sniff near them then they will appear. In the future I want to continue to add hidden items and perhaps story clues about characters. The user experience of the skill should be improved as well.

Thank you but I'm still not able to reproduce it. If you are able to reproduce it with very specific steps it would help but otherwise I'll just have to keep an eye out for it incase I stumble on it by chance.

Normal form. After your advice I straight up loaded chapter 2 from main menu and then surrendered first goblin.

Hint for defeating the faerie prince: If you are able to keep at least 2 different damage over time (DoT) effects on him you'll be able to use the other turns focusing on healing while the prince slowly dies. Since I don't have skill descriptions in yet: Hero's Beastform gets Ripper (Bleed DoT) at level 5 and Slimeform gets Poison Spit early on. Ash gets Entropy (Dark DoT) at level 8.

Well I liked it 😉 sure it's a tiny bit buggy, there was a little stuttering in the Goblin Camp, and of course there is a bit of story missing. But the Fairy Prince was beatable on the first try (I did hunt down and kill every last goblin and slime with extreme prejudice though). Still like Colton and Lukka a lot 😉 and am looking forward to more content from them. I tried the F7 scene with Lukka and F2 with Ash...I'm not sure what that cute little buddy of mine the Slime pet (who is adorable by the way) was thinking during those scenes...he seemed to be commenting on what he saw, but maybe it was my imagination. Anyways, great work as usual, looking forward to more, and happy that you added even more skills and a jump to Chapter 2 option. Thank you for that, and all your hard work.

I think you have to use hero's surrender skill to get the scene. Right now there are restrictions on which encounters will allow it because I have to solve some problems handing out the right scene based on what monsters are left alive.

I don't get the defeat scene with goblins anymore. Maybe because i lost from the boss (at lvl7 xD), and then fought goblins to train. After defeat it respawns me immediatly at crystal

I tried to balance the prince to be a challenge for a level 10 party but any lower than that and he seems nigh impossible to beat. 😁
