MagicaCSG Demo I: Control Points of Swept Volume
🕑 Added 2023-10-28 11:48:04 +0000 UTC1. Select Swept Extrude Mode
There are 5 extrude modes: straight extrude, revolve, torus, helix and sweep now.
Select the sweep mode, then the sweep tools will show on the top bar.
2. Insert/Delete Control Points
Click the two arrow buttons on the tool bar to delete/insert a point on the sweep path.
You can also press ALT while dragging a control point to insert a point after it.
Currently, you can have up to 8 control points.
3. Switch Gizmos
Click the control Point, then the gizmo will move to the control point.
Click the stroke, then the gizmo will move back to the stroke.
4. Modify the Profile at Each Control Point
You can modify the profile shape, bevel and round properties globally.
There are five available profile shapes: sphere, cube, triangle, hexagon and cylinder.
You can also modify the position, twist and size of the profile locally at each control point.
5. Duplicate Path
SHIFT+Drag a control point with create a new spline with the modified path.
6. Wireframes
You can also enable the wireframes for the control points.

yes, i know i can model Text, swept paths offers some way there is also a Example on Womp 3D Youtube channel but i may do this in a other 3D Program

Consider modelling the texts. doable for large elements, just don't try it with body text

it is too expensive to compute sdf of texts in a nondestructive pipeline.

nice addition Have a Text related qestion Would it possible add Text some day and to have Text editing with SDF ? Or is this not possible
