Now I have images stuck in my head of Shatner wearing self-modified wigs as toupees... modified to the extent that they were "unphotographable". It makes Patrick Stewart's "Pax Romana Geri-Curl" toupee look downright dignified.

You realize, of course, that it's possible that William Shatner thought he could take the wigs because he also was sleeping with Gene Roddenberry
