Besides this I think the only improvements I can make are the addition of a small battery between the solar panel and the pump to act as a buffer (so I don't need the sun constantly at my back to keep the water circulating) and a USB thermoelectric chiller, like the ones you see on Amazon for keeping a single can of beer/soda cold. Integrating that into the thermos ought to keep the ice frozen for longer.
