Aren't you able to modify the texture/skin maps, though -- like you would in a Poser figure? Or does that take some kind of a special program/feature, other than Photoshop? And how is it that some of the game-based figures are actually nude, with genitals, etc? Sorry that I'm completely ignorant on this! :-(

These models are taken directly from the game and put into the software I use. There is no naked body underneath the armor.

I don't pretend to understand how these work, but couldn't one do a new skin that would be transparent, if not remove the bumpy armor/clothing bits?
