Episode 2 Final Release
🕑 Added 2023-12-26 00:51:37 +0000 UTCHi all! I hope everyone has had (or is having) an awesome Christmas Day! To add to the day's festivities, the Final (and public!) release of Cara in Creekmaw Episode 2 is finally here!
What does Episode 2 add?
- Over 20,000 lines of dialogue!
- At least 4000 brand-new images!
- Over 20 new steamy scenes to view and collect in the replay gallery. Collecting all of them would require multiple playthroughs!
Note that this is a full installation of the game files (i.e. 6GB). Further bug fixes in this post will be in the hotfix format (i.e. 9MB updates replacing older script files) and will be updated in the post itself with the appropriate steps should there be any bugs or errors that may occur in this final build.
In addition, more mirrors will be available as the post will be constantly updated.

Here are the changes that are included in this update!
- All combined bug fixes that were reported during the Alpha and Beta.
- Questionnaire update; begin a new journey by answering a few questions from the Prologue and Episode 1 and be on your way!
- Secret renders; rounding out the entire game, 3 all-new renders joined with 3 taken from previous render requests to make up the new Episode 2 secret render gallery!
Bugfixes included:
- Fixed script errors occurring in the kitchen.
- Consistency passes on dialogue.
- Fixed the secret render gallery featuring the wrong image.

Hotfix Installation (9MB)
To prevent the constant re-installation of 6GB for every bug fix I make, this section is to include downloads for re-compiled scripts. What this means is any error you may encounter in the main game install above can be fixed by simply replacing a much, much smaller file with the exact fixes!
Note that this file is usable for all platforms (Windows, Linux, and Mac).

For the hotfix to be applied, simply follow these steps:
1. Download the file above after saving and quitting Cara in Creekmaw.
2. Go to the "game" folder of your Cara in Creekmaw folder.
3. Replace the "scripts.rpa" file with this brand spanking new one!
4. Boot up the game and resume from where you left off!
CHANGE LOGS
HOTFIX 4 (MOST RECENT)
- The library article section should no longer be zoomed in.
- Fixed a few images that had a floating background.
HOTFIX 3
- A few wrong images have been corrected.
- Dialogue consistency improved in the conversation between Cara and Stanford (i.e. dialogue topics will grey out after they are discussed).
HOTFIX 2
- The library section where Cara reads the news should now properly show all news articles.
HOTFIX 1
- Fixed images in the Suyin's gym toilet conversation section (I remember fixing this but maybe I undid the text changes somehow)

In closing, I like to thank everyone who has made this release possible, be it through support via subscribing to the development (all tiers) or via direct messaging outside of this platform (i.e. Discord or online forums). I especially want to thank the early alpha and beta players who played the episode during its initial (and rocky) release. It was through your input and suggestions that many of the bugs were squashed early on and it has made all the difference!

Can you try installing the APK file after the download is finished (i.e. don't run the installer before the file is downloaded fully). If that doesn't work, please join the Discord group (https://discord.gg/5RHSY3Pj) and I can have someone look at it for you (as I do not have an Android to test the links).

Hi, just to clarify, Android is meant to be 1.8GB as Android cannot be bigger than 2GB to launch. Can I ask what phone model you're currently using to investigate further (you can let me know via PM).

The Link is good but it's 1.8 go . And once it's totally downloaded it said : the app is not installed because it's seems to be incomplete.

Hi XyTheFox! This issue is mainly Windows Defender automatically deleting the ".exe" file it deems to be harmful or if it contains viruses. To highlight, "Cara in Creekmaw" does not contain viruses and this is a false positive. One way to combat Windows Defender from doing this is to extract the game as per normal (you will notice the .exe just go poof) and go to "Windows Security" on your Windows search bar. There, you should be able to see a tab on the left that says "Protection History" which should list all threats that Windows Defender protected you from. You should be able to pick out the ".exe" removal act that was done. Press the "V" down-arrow and you should see an "Actions" button at the bottom of the details describing what was removed (which should be the .exe file). Click "Actions" and press "Restore". Let me know if this helps!

I’m having some issues that are obviously on my end, I had the beta from about a week ago, played for a bit, and now I can no longer open the .exe. When I try, windows explains there is harmful files/software etc. then the .exe literally disappears from the file explorer. The same happens with the public full release. Any suggestions on what security measures I have to temporarily disable to run this game would be greatly appreciated.
