Bro you want them to have true rollercoaster of emotions ahahahhaha. My top animes are 1-AoT 2-Vinland Saga. Berserk would be 3rd but since the 2016-17 anime is a shame in terms of ALL i would recommend to read the manga only hahahha. Anyways the 3 movies are nuts, i was introduced to berserk with the movies without knowing anything and i was fcking shocked when saw them xD (i was like 16yo)

Definitely disagree I think DN is too old with poor pacing and honestly really overrated. I could see it ruining anime for them, definitely would rather they watched it 4th or 5th once they are no longer skeptics.

Death Note is more intellectually challenging and would have you theorizing throughout. Even though Jujutsu Kaisen may win, I think Death Note is a better option, especially for those coming from ‘Attack on Titan.’ It’s also completed, unlike most of the other anime on the list.

In terms of the list, as somebody said already, most of these are just regular shonens that are popular even though they have no intricate storytelling or character development. It is not even close to AoT in terms of writing.

Death note is def the best one, JJK is an enjoyable show, but it doesn’t have the same level of suspense and storytelling AoT and Death Note have. It is incredibly popular tho, so it will probably win. Other animes I would really recommend are Code Geass, Hunter x Hunter and Vinlan Saga - all of these are more on the serious side and have multiple interesting themes explored in them.

I really hope you guys start with death note. It will be fun to see how the guys’ opinions change and it’s one of the most recommended beginner anime’s, second to AOT.

Same here, Haikyu would be an interesting anime to watch just because its different. So the chances that guys will have low expectations are high, which will make it that much better for a reaction series :)

We've sort of just gone with what's been recommended to us so far as 3 of us obv have no knowledge of what's good and I haven't seen enough anime to know either. We might just hold another poll after this one and then combine the top anime to see what the top recommendation would be :)

Highly recommended Vinland Saga. You guys love looking at the messages within a show and I think Vinland Saga ticks the boxes for that. Stein's Gate is also a phenomenal show. Short and sweet at only 24 EPs long. Highly underrated imo.

Depends one what you guys want, most the shows on this list are very action heavy but offer little in narrative with the exception of perhaps death note. So if you want something more in depth and narrative based, I would suggest Vinland Saga. But if it's the pure action and hype you want to watch, then probably JJK.

Jujutsu Kaisen is very good but I think it can be a bit too complicated if you havent seen any similar and more easy going anime shows in the same category. Imo wouldn't recommend JJK to someone 'new' to anime

Dont get me wrong, everyone’s probably gonna hype up jujutsu kaisen but it really does depend on preference, tried getting into it twice but it just didn’t hit for some reason
