Dragon Breast Heroine Sketch
🕑 Added 2017-04-26 19:44:56 +0000 UTCI have such a massive headache, but I guess that's just because I've been awake so long. My sleeping schedule have been out of sync lately - I woke up at 2am. I finished the most important things for me to do today, however, so it's not so bad.
Decided to tackle that Dragon Breast Hero character again. I kinda like having changed her bikini into something greater resembling armor, but I did kinda like the thin, skimpy-nature of the bikini. I made the hair all poofy, like Dragon Quest IV's female hero, which looks more interesting, though I'm not sure if it's better (and frankly, I've got two other characters with messy or poofy hair, so maybe I'm pushing it). Also those gross yellow sleeves sure are gross, I should see about doing something with those. Maybe outright removing them to help the outfit feel more skimpy and naked, but I dunno. We'll see.

I like the yellow and blue. It feels a lot like a Dragon Quest character and not just some random RPG gal, so it's truer to the source material. I like the armored bikini more, I think it looks better in general, though I'd remove some of the red jewels. Reduce it down to three instead of five. Having the inner color of the cloak be a neutral color is a good idea. It shows of the silhouette way better and is more interesting. And while you do use the messy hair more than other people, I don't think it's a bad thing. But to make this char more visually distinct than your other chars, why not keep the bird's nest but extend it down into longer hair that passes the shoulders blades?

Bikini armor: good, though I think the plain bikini looks visually better yeah. The yellow's striking, but actually seems to match Toriyama's use of color in ways I don't see a lot of people get.
