What wheels and set ups do you use when you play sims? I know Rob bought a new wheel recently. What does the crew each run respectively? I just upgraded my set up from a thrustmaster tmx to the Ts-xw.

As Daniel and Kevin said: Could we have a Shift+F1 specific Discord? I know the clothmap and noclip discords have channels to talk about F1 bit I struggle to follow them both and feel bad that I end up missing most of what the community talks about. It would be nice to have a completely dedicated discord for fans of racing where caring about video games isn't a barrier to joining. (Perhaps free if you think this patreon isn't big enough yet or want an easier way for current Clothmap and Noclip patrons to join in...?) We could then have separate channels for multiple disciplines so people aren't accidentally spoiled on Formula E when they check on F1 chat for instance.

I'm gonna second Daniel. I've bounced between the Clothmap and No Clip discords to chat on race day, but it makes sense to have one where we can all hang out in one place.

I know that both Drew and Danny have Discords set up for their own Patreons, but is a Shift-F1 Discord a possibility? It would be nice to have a place to discuss the races and episodes in real time.

With most sports fans tend to pick teams/players to throw all their support behind, however in my experience F1 fans tend to be more fluid with their support, have you expedience this and why do you think its the case? Also Rob, waypoint seems to be open to trying new things (you all seem to be Liverpool FC fans now?) is there any plans to introduce them to the world of F1? I bet their reactions to some of the stuff that goes on would be priceless.

I find it hard to cheer for a team. I’ve been following F1 off and on since the late 90s but never chosen a team but rather always was a fan of driver/s instead. How do you cheer for your team when they loose your favourite driver such as Danny Ricciardo moving from Red Bull to Renault and your left with drivers you might not like on your team?

Hi guys. I’ve been listening to you guys for a few years now, and I’ve gotten my wife into the podcast. She says none of you look like how you sound. I think that’s a good thing? My question is, do you think that the introduction of the new street/city circuits (i.e. Baku and the upcoming Vietnam) is a good or a bad thing for the sport? I think they are a great way to bring the spectacle of F1 to mass audiences, but do they lose the skill and challenge that proper tracks bring?

Let's play Fantasy F1 without budget cap and instead of selecting the most successful people you have to choose the most likable. Choose a team, two drivers and a team principle - not the fastest but those you have liked the most over the years, for whatever reason. And let's say you can choose from the last ten years of F1 history, just so we can include drivers like Button, Webber, Alonso, Massa, Kovalainen, Vergne, Bianchi, Schumacher and Pastor Maldonado in the competition, as well as Force India (RIP), Caterham, Marussia, Hispania Racing Team and of course Stefano Domenicali and Flavio Briatore.

Have any of you become a fan of a driver for a dumb or arbitrary reason? For example I became a Charles Leclerc fan when he was in GP3 because I thought his name sounded like Char the antagonist in Mobile Suit Gundam who pilots a red suit that is supposed to be 3x faster than a normal robot so I figured he would be fast too.

Q1: Where would you most like to see a new F1 track built / what existing track would you like to see join the F1 season? Q2: When we going to meet up at the Gibson Street Bar again because that was super rad? Super psyched this is all going so well for you guys, I've been following F1 thanks to my dad before GiantBomb and GameSpot even existed and somehow things have coalesced into two of my favorite dudes from two of my favorite gaming sites branching out into their own awesome separate videothings as well as a dedicated F1 podcast. Love the Kubica pic, he was my favorite driver back when he was racing F1 can't wait to see him back. His crash in Canada is also the one I still show people who have no idea about F1, what a crash hahah, absolutely nuts.

What's the over-under on Vettel leaving Ferrari if he doesn't win the title this season? Given that Leclerc is in the team and Gio is full time at Sauber (and basically waiting for the Ferrari seat to open up), Is Vettel under the most pressure right now to deliver the title?

What is your favorite or biggest F1 memory? For a "biggest" example the first thing that comes up when I think F1 is watching my first race a few years ago and seeing Alonso's car flip after hitting Gutierrez in Australia. Not necessarily my favorite but it's burned into my head.
