Major props for actually voicing your true opinions and not sucking up to your audience while being surrounded by the most braindead cultish Stans. Also, while music is subjective, these Stans can't admit that their favorite rapper is not the best in everything, even compared to himself, so I would take that opinion (current Em > young Em) with a major grain of salt. There is a reason why young Em was more critically acclaimed and widely listened to by all sections of rap fans, while his modern output mainly resonates with his fanbase. Yeah, current Em pays a lot more attention to word play (similes, entendres, homophones etc.), however young Em paid a lot more attention to syllable and ryhme structure to create his impeccable flows. He was incredibly precise and meticulous with that shit, those flows were so effortless it seems people think they don't require absurd amounts of technical skill to pull off. So, is one being more technical than the other? Who knows, what I do know is which of the two create a better listening experience, and this is still rap >music<.

I love Em and he has definitely had some great songs but when it comes to listening to entire albums on repeat - It's his first 4 albums for me. The more recent albums - I skip through to get to the songs I vibe with. But the first 4 albums - I play in order and on repeat. It's just different for me. But I love some of his new songs, for sure. Just not the entire albums.
