Adam_OnCreatine

it hurts me that a lot of people think Rihanna says "well that's not fair" in the chorus when she's really saying "well that's nothin' "

Brandon Erickson

No hate

ygrose1004

How can you complain about the audio quality and not think about listening to Spotify?

THEKIDSWIRED

no they dont they just have a similar piano

THEKIDSWIRED

till i collapse isn't just cuz its motivational doesn't make it for cod

Jenny Brantley

LaDainian Tomlinson is a Hall of Fame Running Back, Ndamukong Suh is a defensive tackle. Em loves football.

Jenny Brantley

In the 70s? You absolutely could take the kids and basically disappear. It might not even be on purpose, but enough time and moves, It was a lot harder to keep track of people. That doesn’t mean it wouldn’t have been criminal, you could call the police, but if she moved to another state they may not even try that hard to find them. And a lot of times, if they left it was for a reason.

Soniel White

True

Ivan Sinchi

watching you on mute is so funny LMAO

Ivan Sinchi

SO FAR IS THE BEST SONG ON MMLP2 HOW DARE YOU

Hugo Thelander

love the reactions bro, Keep in mind that a lot of the lyric videos are pre-genius and ppl had to hear & write lyrics themselves!

Travis Ray

Rick Ruben needs to stop fucking with peoples music.

Stefan Roller

Nah, MMLP 2 is worse. Encore has higher highs and lower lows

Emily Gray

Your smoking crack. So far is great.

JaSheesh 2K

Facts!!!

Scott Leeman

Baby as least fave is wild lol

Katie L

Need to do music to be murdered by side b

Katie L

His dad died way before that.

Colton Bes

Wrong SIA lol

Cam

Til I Collapse, Won’t Back Down and Survival were all promos for cod.

Cam

Yes, survival was a promo for call of duty ghost

Cam

Both ā€œSo much betterā€ & ā€œ Criminalā€ from mmlp (2000) have the same beat.

Cam

Matthew Mitchell (Stans younger sibling) was in the music video. As well as referenced in the song, ā€œStanā€ in the mmlp album.

Cam

Yeah this time period was when Eminem got into like the whole Rappity rap-rap punchline thing lol

Emilio Ingham-Freitas

These lyric videos are trash. Looks like a 10-year-old listened to the song once and wrote what he thought Em said. Please just use Genius from now on.

Emilio Ingham-Freitas

yes you will like Hell: the sequel

Joel

For example the entire clip of So much better is the wrong BPM bro, its sped up slightly. and again, HORRIBLE quality.

Joel

You should really REALLY stop listening to the songs through terrible youtubevideos, the quality is so fucking terrible on a lot of the songs compared to spotify.

Justin

@verticile Evil twin - he listens to his old albums to keep up with his competition, because the only rapper there is to compete with is his past self.

Sam Carter

The beat and chorus on So Far is a sample of Life's Been Good by Joe Walsh and the Suffering Succotash line is from Sylvester the Cat from the Looney Tunes cartoons.

Mafi

At the bottom? Bro forgot he heard encore. Encore was tough to listen to.

Lucas Magalhães Carneiro Alves

Dont know if anyone said ir already or If im missing something, but Beautiful Pain is talking about drugs, not love relationships. My fav song on the album, It hits deep. Love ur reaction Verti!!

Kai Hunt

also yeah em is a call of duty fan, the time this album came out you were able to buy COD Ghosts with a code to get the album early (I think lol)

Kai Hunt

I feel like his flows on this album are pretty underrated like on so far, rhyme or reason, love game, etc... rap god has been slowly growing on me for the longest time lol my favorite part is when he starts getting that angry tone talking about the columbine line being censored from "I'm Back"

Mason Standley

Not sure if chat told you - em’s dad died before his mum did. When you react to music to be murdered by he explains hiw he felt about his dads passing in ā€œLeaving Heavenā€

Nawfside Moe

Tomlinson became the second player ever to rush for 2,000 yards in a season and 5,000 in his career.

Nawfside Moe

k.

2:44:32 world torn in half so it looks like an ass?

k.

2:13:00 always thought he meant the only competition is his younger self

Lily Mclean

I think the bad meets evil stuff isn’t bad nothing crazy tho. But there are a few that are soooo good it might be worth it. Also their song Vegas that’s in another album it’s SOOO good

ColeJank

It’s so crazy to read these comments. Kamikaze came after revival as Em goes off on the haters of that album and pretty much anyone and everyone lol. Not sure why anyone would say this is his best album. It’s got some great songs but some that are just ok. Music to be murdered by side b is better than side a but both are a good listen. The Death of Slim Shady is a culmination of everything / style he’s ever done and is a masterpiece. So I’m really confused why he keeps saying he heard this is the peak of his career. The Eminem show was my number one for the longest time. Everyone has their own opinion which is ā€œgreatā€ but what he’s saying that he’s hearing from people just floors me. This was not the peak of Eminem’s career. Just my 2 cents. Hate it or love it, it’s whatever. Also bad meets evil album has 2 good songs. The rest are absolute crap. Let’s get through the main Eminem albums first.

Juper1

2:15:39 had to crack a smirk😭😭

Michael Sinclair

your reactions are very contradictory for your final ranking haha

Chow

BRO MISSED THE KEN KANIFF SKIT

Mafi

Please go back to listening on Spotify and reading lyrics on genius. At the end of wicked ways on Spotify you missed a Ken Kaniff skit which is a call back to his classic albums. These YouTube videos are shit anyways u already asked why those lyrics look dumb asf

Mladen Markovic

Within 5-10 seconds of hearing X Ambassadors in the last song, I thought they sounded like Imagine Dragons and looked up their song Radioactive before you even mentioned it. Btw, Ndamukong is a former football player who played for the Detroit Lions.

Di Or

Brooo I was thinking about recovery, dam I am slow. Yea nah revival sucked, I had maybe a couple songs I liked but that was literally the only Em album I’d say could’ve stayed an idea

Corey Barclay

Hearing you say you've never heard of Sia makes me feel so fucking old you have no idea, Sia has one of the best voices in music and has so many great songs

Jake Arruda

Revival was way after this album. Thats not true

Di Or

And bad meets evil is a fuckin masterpiece, Em and Royce went off. I’d say listen to it.

Di Or

Revival came before MMLP2, this album is where he met his peak and said fuck my peak and peaked over it

Hurr1Kane

people say ā€œsuffering succotashā€ as an exclamation in place of a cuss word.

Joseph

Not one of my favourite albums, but good to have you back Verti. Regarding the Genius, all the yellow marked seems to be comments from Em himself. He has quite some. Edit: also, SIA is fucking fire and I honestly cannot believe you haven't heard of her. Think she started of as ghost writer, no clue why because she has one of the best voices I have ever heard.

Hurr1Kane

Berzerk is Em’s first song produced by Rick Rubin who produced for some legendary rock bands and early rappers and rap groups. Including the Beatles, Public Enemy, LL Cool J etc.

VERTICILE

the fan made youtube lyric videos fucking w the songs has to be the dumbest shit ever

VERTICILE

hahaha

VERTICILE

thanks bro. Yeah BME will for sure happen eventually

Hope E Cochrane

Berzerk is Homage to the Beastie Boys. GREAT Song!

Jack Castro

Leaving Heaven is Brilliant, sooo great

Mr. blaze

Much worse sadly cause u can’t hear his emphasis near as good. But the song slaps regardless 🤣

Pasa

So much Better was still fire but it was sped up and worse then the original

Kristopher Talavera

His Dad Is Dead šŸ’€

Kelly Levine

Revival is his most personal album. I don’t like the beats mostly but I love most of the songs šŸ‘ It’s sooooo not a terrible album, it’s already platinum lol

Kelly Levine

All his hurt hate love songs are about Kim lol

Kelly Levine

Ems dad died. He talks about it in the song ā€œLeaving Heavenā€. I think it’s on Music to be Murdered by but forget which side lol

A6G

Honestly suprised he put this album bottom below encore

Patrik Mrtvý

I didn't look if someone commented but yea I don't think Em will be trying to get in contact with his dad after his moms death. He died 2019 i think.

Ash

Just realised you missed the ā€œDon’t Frontā€ song 😩 That’s probably my favourite song from the album and it’s in the expanded edition.

Joseph Solomon

Brother please just do hell the sequel it’s so good!

Alon

Your reaction made a lot of sense to me. I loved this album at the time, but I feel since then hes made better projects. Revival not withstanding lol. I put Recovery over this one as well as all his albums Kamikaze onward. MMLP2 is still very good though. This album came out at a time when a lot of new people were first getting into him, so it doesn't surprise me that a lot of people say this is their favorite or one of them from him. Also you are onto something toward the beginning about his voice being kinda different and maybe a little weird on this album. He had a really bad case of Tinnitus during the recording for this album - and it resulted in some weird throaty vocal tones since that was the only way he could hear it. He starts talking about it in this podcast he did with his manager Paul: https://https://youtu.be/ceuFiIxx6TQ?t=2279 time stamp should be around 38 minutes in. I think after revival youre going to vibe with music quite a lot. His musical decisions just get better and better 2018 moving forward for the most part. Until now in 2024 he sounds the best he has since 2003 imo. Also, the version of So Much Better you listened to was slightly sped up lmao.

Jordan Turner

I legit can't fucking WAIT till he hears these albums "Kamikaze" and "Music To Be Murder by - Side B Deluxe Edition ". Just have to get Revival over and done with ugh. There are also 2 songs from Bad Meets Evil that are worth a listen called "Fast Lane" and Lighters.

Jack Castro

Agree

Onyxia

Wicked Ways is probably my favorite song from this album, I'm surprised it's in the middle of the road on your ranking for the album tbh

ItsFrostyz

Skit was for criminal in MMLP.

Xv-Itachi-vX

Hey Vert bro i don't know if you know you was asking about his father, his father died back in 2019 i believe and they never had any relation or contact. Lol i just saw affter the song you checked for yourself hahaha i should have waited before commenting, i loving the reactions btw bro im just vibing with you while you listen to this amazing music cant wait for you to react to his latest albums its going to by so fucking sick!!

Mohammad Al Shawwa

so the album sounds different because it was produced by rick rubin, who used to work in rock but also worked with people like kanye. but the album has a vintage old rock/country vibe throughout it. it has a lot of personality. also it’s called MMLP2 because the main themes of it are reflecting on his fame and his personal life (like the first one) but at a different stage in life. he’s also tying up loose ends like with his mom on headlights. it doesn’t sound like the first one. it’s an original album but has similar themes and a lot of callbacks. also the album ended with EVIL TWIN, which was a full circle moment with slim shady as his alter ego. the rest are bonus tracks

Luckigrl

Facts

Bryce L

Better than stronger than I was

SupaSteve

I had to look it up. Jeff Mills is The Wizard. He’s a DJ and makes Techno

Bryce L

Brainless is good I’ll die by it

Jack Castro

You gave Baby a 1 and it’s at the bottom! I think that was a oversight, also please do Detroit vs everybody and Friday night cyphers, these aren’t on albums but does show how much better Em is than other rappers

Luckigrl

ā€œSuffering succotashā€ Daffy Duck quote🤣

Vicho,elraperito

THANK YOU FOR APPRECIATING STRONGER THAN I WAS IS SO OVERHATED

Justin Kaubo

verti listening to headlights now is somehow amazing

Jack Castro

Always enjoy your Eminem reacts immensely, thought ground hog rap god and wicked ways would be a little higher on your list but it’s tough!! Loved that you finally heard Survival

Tim Colter

This album was produced by Rick Rubin, that's why it sounds different. Rubin has an insanely deep resume. Check out the list. This album has a lot of samples. Look up rhyme or reason and So far sample. Their songs from like the 70s or 80s I can't remember.

Brandon ghgghh

Guts over Fear and Kings never Die are really good songs from this era they aren't from an album but still worth checking out at some point

Joey Flood

Bro I love your reactionsšŸ˜‚ and yes you have to listen to the bad meets evil album! So underrated! I would also recommend shadyXV as well!

Luckigrl

Em’s dad has passed as well

Nunya

Love when em gets really dynamic with his voice, gets aggressive but then pulls it back, he sounds soooo good šŸ˜ Also vert yes em is so captive to my adhd brain! Haha I get so lost in his lyrics and i wish more things made me focus šŸ˜‚

Mathieu B

So Much Better was sped up in the video, you should do the genius lyrics with the Spotify tracks

Mathieu B

He said don't spoil it, he can learn through listening

Hurr1Kane

His dad died in like 2019, there’s a song on music to be murdered by where he talks about it

Tim Colter

It really is awesome watching you experience this for the first time. Seeing you feel how we all felt as it came out. It's awesome

Nunya

Bummer someone spoiled ā€œbad guyā€ was a sequel, I had no idea when I first heard it and the clarity during the song 😵

Nunya

This album is too good

Drew Ponder

Would love a Hell: The Sequel reaction šŸ™šŸ»

Tim Colter

You should absolutely love Bad Meets Evil. The raps are insane

Mathieu B

When you get to Music To Be Murdered By, make sure to do both sides. One of my favorite albums of all time
