No, Recovery had positive reviews. “Take from me” is about people leaking songs. Hence frustrating Eminem. In the ladder 2000’s there was a trend of leaked Em songs, “the warning” (Mariah Carey diss) being one of them.

Royce is the only person who can match or sometimes even outdo Em. I still think Eminem’s the GOAT, but that’s why most people pick Royce as their 1st or 2nd favorite Eminem collaborator/duo partner. They have incredible chemistry and they do a great job at “mirroring” each other, which helps to make more cohesive sounding songs.

Living Proof and Echo are only bonus tracks because they were leaked ahead of time. Banger album imo. Recovery was well received at the time especially compared to Relapse. From certain crowds of rap fans Recovery was not looked at well because I guess its a "poppier" album than people were expecting from him. Broadly I think the sales sort of speak for themselves here, extremely well received project. But this was also around the time where people werent giving him his flowers because he was constantly being compared to his best work with MMLP/TES. It was sort of a weird time where he was too old for people in high school, but too young for a different crowd. So I dont think the shit he was getting around this time had anything actually to do with the quality of Recovery. A lot of his vaulted music was being leaked too which was the other aspect of what 'Take From Me' is about. Basically his haters got a lot more vocal from around 2010 - 2017. Thats why imo the anger her felt on Kamikaze was kind of a culmination of things not just the backlash from Revival.
