Royalists (on the occasion they make themselves known, because it's real loser hours here in the UK to say that your are one, & there aren't that many die hard fans here) to me are the perfect example of a parasocial relationship. They dribble and fawn at every picture of William and Kate, despite both of them being the boring people that ever breathed air. Plus, the Royals in turn just not really giving a shit about anyone beanth their boot-heel. Like last year, we literally had nonce defender Charles Windsor himself (I ain't calling him King) sitting on a gold throne covered in stolen jewels, telling people to exercise economic restraint in the face of the cost of living crisis as bills rocket into orbit. It was genuinely really hard to keep my Tongue still during the whole death of the queen nonsense. I didn't even watch the funeral. Fuck that. I just watched one my fave bands Godspeed you Black Emperor play live in Bristol instead.

I went to uni with a guy who played lute to quite a high level. He didn't drink much but still enjoyed parties and would crack out the lute on regular occasions.it was fucking beautiful.
