I mean i kinda get t alot of anime has a generic cultural episode. Ik its because they have them irl but it does get tiring. And just because some plot stuff comes doesnt mean the arcs are fun as a whole. You saying they're in every school romcoms proves this point having something over and over again gets stale, and rom com anime is notorious for repeat tropes. And that school analogy doesn't work because there are plenty of anime with school stuff that doesn't have culture festivals but going into a SCHOOL rom com will mean it will ALWAYS have school and the story and plot dosnt revolve around the festival the same as it would for the school?

13:45 I still have no idea where y'alls dislike for sports/cultural festivals comes from.. in school romcom anime... those types of events is exactly where ACTUAL progress in relationships and character growth happens in pretty much all these types of anime, lmao. If you mean you are tired of sports/cultural festivals since they are in every school romcoms.. then that's like watching a school romcom.. and saying you do not like that the story/plot revolves around being in a school, lmao. I will take any of the festival events rather than regular days at school/regular interactions. I will say, this anime is probably an exception since they go to different schools and their progress has been fast, S1Ep8 already on a date, lol.
