Chronicles of Acorn Episode 3 Roadmap plans

So as ya'll know, Episode 3 is currently in the works, and Sallyhot and i have really been brainstorming what we want Episode 3 to be like! Episode 1 was a good intro mission for Sally to rescue Bunnie, and Episode 2 was about finding a way to Knothole. Both were good! Short.. but good, and both were more focused and battle driven. Well, for Episode 3, we really want to do something different!What we feel this game needs next is a moment of respite, a place to stop and chill! That's where Knothole comes in, but ya'll already knew Knothole was coming next right? What you didn't know, was that we're focusing this episode on not only getting to Knothole, but exploring and getting a ton of options for what to do next! Instead of a linear path full of challenges and non-stop battles, this episode is going to have you explore Knothole, chat with NPCs, do some side quests, and more! The main big thing I'm excited about.. well there's three main big things. The first is the main quest line will feature five parts, all of which you'll be able to do in any order you want! You'll be able to explore the forest at your own pace this time around, and work on any objective you see fit!
The second thing I'm most excited about, is that the Central Great Forest is getting a MASSIVE upgrade! Where in Episode 2 the CGF was big, but also straight forward. in Episode 3, you'll be seeing a much bigger, more open version that is hugely expanded with a lot more areas to explore and variety to explore them in! Not just a single path this time, but many! The third thing I'm excited about most, is a new minigame is going to be added of sorts. This one ties into the main questline. A little hint, it's going to focused on liberating the Central Great Forest ;)
So hopefully this gets you excited! Episode 3 is truly going to be HUGE, and will likely add another 4-5 hours of gameplay instead of 1-2. Maybe even more! I'll let you know when I get some of this stuff made. :P

Chronicles of Acorn: Episode 3 Feature List
-New Party Member, Fiona!
-Level Cap increased to 30(up to 35)
-Explorable Knothole
-You will be able to buy items and equipment via Rotor's shop
-5 Main Quests, all may be done in any order(though the last will be hard and feature a dungeon, leveling up will be recommended)
-1 major NPC side quest storyline featuring a brand new Dungeon and boss
-Side quests will be added
-Hunt quests will be added
-2 new dungeons will be added(One Main Quest dungeon in Eastern Great Forest, One Side Story Quest Dungeon)
The Central Great Forest will be heavily expanded, with lots to explore and discover
-A lot more story will be added
-A new Liberate Minigame
-New Zone: Eastern Great Forest (Swamp)
-New Zone: Southern Great Forest (Partial, only some will be explorable for now)
-Plus more will be announced later!
Possible new content for this episode:
-Expanded and revamped Western Great Forest
-New Zone: Northern Great Forest (Partial)
As far as a Roadmap, I plan to have the level design done by the end of November. But this is likely not gonna be possible. It may take a lot longer depending on how big these areas are. It may even dip into December, or take up all of it! After which, hopefully in December, I can focus purely on quests, NPCs, story, events, etc. To tell you the truth, this episode is a lot bigger than I had originally anticipated, which means it might take later than December to complete the Alpha version. If that's the case, I'll let you guys know, but I'll try to give ya'll something to do with the game by Christmas for sure! Maybe a demo of the new episode or somethin. :) not sure. Wow, this seems very ambitious. Very excited to how y'all pull this off. Loving the game so far too! 4 to 5 hours? yo that's gonna be crazy good luck on all that! Can't wait to hear more updates!
