Thanks for another chapter! Absolutely loving this fic xD And yeah I think the reasoning and logic you have for Anakin felt pretty smooth and on-point. I could see him wanting to stomp them and vent his anger for going after her while she is under his protection and for the insult ofcourse but also letting it (kinda) go for now because it’s a lot more personal for her and not so much for him (plus he is trying hard to be a good master/mentor) (i love their interactions!! it’s adorable)

…It’ll be all fun and games until she tries to add an in-built laser cannon to it. Hell, she’s pretty much an official Skywalker at this point. Gotta keep traditions going don’cha know. ;)

I also enjoyed the chapter, and ‘buy’ Anakin’s thoughts and motivations. My personal take on Darth Vader/ Anakin-in-his-later-years is that the old impulsiveness is there in the heat of the moment- but outside of that he can bide of time. He put with Emperor Palpatine for 20 + years after all! Additionally, he’s spent his life thinking about ‘power’ and ‘danger’ on a Galactic scale, Coil’s a crime lord who doesn’t even control an entire city on one planet. No wonder Vader views him as a bit of an insect. The fact that Anakin’s reasoning is Dinah-centric makes sense. You have made it clear in previous chapters that Anakin has no REAL interest in Brockton Bay and its denizens, outside of Dinah’s own stake in it. Right and wrong to Anakin has always been more to do with people than abstract concepts of justice, and in a strange new world Dinah gives Anakin a necessary focus for both his behaviour and his actions. Reading the previous chapters my impression is that he killed Lung because he was free to do so. In the Republic or the Empire, where there was always someone who could prevent him from just going out to beat up the bad people to free the slaves etc. What the implications of THAT will be I think is going to be an important question. Lung’s turf is now presumably Anakin’s by right of conquest. Something like that is going to have lots of implications for the city.

The Traveler

It was explained earlier in the fic that even after being healed he spent a week or so in a coma, bedridden. That's enough time to get the necessary nutrients on IV, especially if the hospital is used to Panacea healing and has that as the standard. She may have even induced a coma for that reason, to force him to spend the time healing and regenerating his nutrients rather than going out and getting hurt again.

Why would he need to be angrier.

Patrick

Ok, I was not clear with my comment. I know she can do that. But does she do that in her regular hospital work? Also if the mass is not coming from the targets body it would imply for everyone that she is not just a healer. (Which she tries to keep a secret)

Damon Fitzgerald

No she is a biokinetic and can take biomass from elsewhere to make new limbs fairly quickly. Although plenty of fics have her not doing that with the excuse of her trying to hide her full abilities. I don't think we really saw enough of her pre Leviathan to be sure if she had revealed that aspect in canon.

Patrick

Thx for the chapter. A problem I have found: It makes no sense for panacea to regrow all his limbs in a day. Her healing takes from your own bodies ressources. It would have taken weaks, if not months.

Looting Pillager

Anakin was always angry and struggled with impulsive behavior, I can believe Vader had worked on that to at least control what he could of his self. So yes I can see him wanting her to find the control he wished for in his early life. This is a damn good chapter.

JVR

It seemed consistent with his character here so far.

White Neko Knight

I think you did great personally. Just the right amount of Dark side Anger while showing that Anakin is going down the path of a teacher once again. It would be interesting if he can't learn to harness Wrath instead of anger.

Gabriel Waldorff

So long as he oversees everything and treats it like guiding a young ahsoka through a new type of field mission it could work. He needs to play devil's advocate to Dinah's planning, etc.

So, just a quick question. Did you guys buy Anakin's thoughts at the end? Regardless of his final decision about how to deal with Coil and the Travelers, I wanted to show him putting Dinah's desire above his anger... and to show that he didn't really care about them if not for what they're doing to her. I wanted to show that, despite still having trouble with his anger and the Dark Side, he really isn't Darth Vader anymore, for the simple reason that his immediate instinct is to prioritize Dinah over getting revenge. Still, do you think I should have him angrier at them?

Brandon Anderson

Love the GA Thrawn showing this Anakin is before the whole Disney messing everything up.

Zerak

I hope this isn’t your intention, but leaving Coil and the travelers seems like a way to keep some of the canon plot going a bit longer. After some thinking I am sure Anikin would realise that keeping an annoyance buzzing around in the shadows in bound to cause more annoyance than it’s worth. So maybe at least get a messier of who they are, their power, their base, their weaknesses. Then allow her to take charge. He would be able to swoop in and end things, but this way he would also be sure there aren’t any hidden elements that can turn the situation to shit if handled worn or given too much freedom.

Orchamus

Imagine her family's reaction, LMFAO

luis

“What about a robot hand?” Dinah asked, ya Anakin can't say no to that. can't wait to see Pho reaction it'll be wild.
