Thanks for the feedback. That is more or less what I had trouble with. In truth, this chapter was to bridge Anakin`s plan and his attack on the Empire, but I also wanted to achieve various other things. -Talk about the Force, because that is incredibly interesting to me, and this was the part I was having the most trouble with. -Stablish Anakin`s growing bond withb Dinah, as well as with the city itself. -Stablish Dinah`s as starting to make her own moves against Coil. -Show Anakin relaxing around her, he`s not being as theatrical when she`s around, even if he goes back to imposing and intimidating when talking with everyone else.

You didn’t specify what your struggles with this chapter were so I can only take a guess. My guess (emphasis on guess) is that you wanted to bridge the final gap to the fight with the Empire but you weren’t sure how to execute this in an interesting way. It is true that there isn’t much that is ‘new’ in this chapter. When it opened with another discussion between Anakin and Dinah about the nature of the Force did feel abrupt in a ‘haven’t we already had this conversation?’ And I can imagine future readers reading through this quickly to get to the next big fight with plot implications. Overall though I’m okay with its chapter because it reinforces what’s emerged as one of the bigger themes in the story, and one I am invested in as a reader: That Anakin may intensely dislike Brockton Bay, but he’s becoming increasingly connected to it in ways big and small. The fact he has to get up in the morning and wonder if Mrs Lilian’s cats are going to inconvenience him again- and later feel concern for how she’s doing, is a fundamental change from being Sidioius’ ‘dark knight errant’ where he could be on seven different planets in as many days. That direction is rich in narrative possibilities and provides much of the stories emotional weight. So I’d say your basic instincts for the story are still on point.
