Is ff7 harder to play than ffx? I recently beat ffx and did not find it very fun. It was extremely long in the last act and the save points/random encounters was just very antiquated

Zack's story wasn't even in the OG PS1 FF7 released in Japan, right ? They added it for international release, along with weapon boss fights, some side quests and a few fixes.

I will never stop crying that arcades are gone. I miss those days, I still hold quarters in such a special place purely because of them lol. Online stuff is just nowhere NEAR the same experience. I'm glad we have it at least, but nothing is better than that energy. I miss the trash talk too.

I’m in the minority with you. Gameplay-wise, it does not hold up at all. And I played Remake before the original and wasn’t lost at all.

I am absolutely with Nate on his comment about newcomers to the FF7 story should start with Crisis Core Reunion. I too had no nostalgia for FF7 and was told to start with the OG, then the Remake, then Crisis Core. I skipped the OG and went into 7 Remake then Crisis Core because friends told me I’d spoil some stuff. After just beating Crisis Core I ABSOLUTELY DISAGREE with their suggestion! If you’re new, play Crisis Core first. It’s honestly the play. Also, Cloud sucks and Zack is infinitely better.

Awesome edition! Every episode so far has definitely delivered, but I do have to shoutout the dynamic between Gene, Cog, and Brad in this one. So much fun to listen to. *Keep It Up* Brad and LSM crew!!

Hated FF7 Remake thought it was awful. Areas full of side quests were extremely boring. Characters also very annoying to me 😅

I expected the heat, FF7 is many people's baby. Doesn't really change that I was disappointed with FF7 other than the music and the story. Or that I enjoyed Crisis Core more. Regardless, appreciate you reading my write-in of what I guess is now my most unpopular gaming take lol Cheers!

FF7 is my favorite game of all time and am obsessed with the lore. Brad is on point and is totally in sync with my personal recommendation on enjoying the Remake trilogy to the fullest: 1. OG 1997 2. Crisis Core 3. Advent Children Complete 4. Dirge of Cerberus (honestly just watch a YouTube video) 5. Remake 6. Rebirth You can brief yourself a bit on Before Crisis, but there were 2 references in Remake on Before Crisis and they were Easter eggs at best. This is the way.
