I can understand and respect this position, and it would've helped greatly I think. But also, Frost did provide his side in his released video. If anything, Frost could reach across the aisle after this to provide any clarification and arguments against the discussion. Either way, getting Nicks responses to the post allegations didn't seem untoward.

Not defending the guy, but just pointing out an observation in that he did delete his tweets and say he was wrong about that. Most people who are in the culture war space generally double down and lash out. He appears to be very quick to judge and sometimes too harshly, but at least he retracts mistakes sometimes.

I had written into the previous episode of Sacred about this Second Wind stuff, but I do have to admit that this seems to boil down to a personal beef which probably should've stayed private. Nick seems a bit prickly and someone who I probably wouldn't want to work with (that Gameumentary resignation clip kind of speaks for itself), but I'll leave that evaluation up to the people that actually do work with him. Just as Frost was free to leave, if the majority of Second Wind feels that Nick is unfit to lead, surely they (as a coop) can vote him out. I think their putting him on disciplinary action as a result of his Twitter tirades speaks to their ability to do something about the dude at the top if they so wish.

Nick is an asshole. The way he was acting on twitter was embarrassing. Not just towards Mark Kern, but towards his own fans pointing out legitimate concerns. The way he talks to people is wild. It’s clear that the success of the Second Wind Patreon went to his head and he thought he was untouchable. When I pointed out how quickly his actions can change the trajectory of his company, he had a little hissy fit and blocked me. I never liked him, so can’t say I’m sad to see the beginning of his end.

I'll just say I lost all respect for Nick when I told some random person online that it would be a bad idea to use Second Wind's Patreon to fundraise for Nick to sue the online weirdos he's beefing with, and then Nick appeared and accused me of claiming he keeps all the Patreon money for himself. Like, what?

With due respect, you should have also contacted Frost regarding his side. Sure, the video speaks for itself, but any details aren’t elaborated on and Nick did have the chance. I understand you are friendly with Nick and want to be fair to him, but you should have also given Frost the chance. My two cents

There is an immaturity with social apps and things Nick has said on podcasts that would bother me, if I worked with him. But that is not to say that a course correction could not be in the future. If that is true, give the same courtesy to Frost. He exited a heated moment, opinions on the matter, and equally worth a listen (imo). We are, as listeners/viewers, oblivious to the details.

People bothered doing the MWR online because it required a purchase of the game. They thought activision would leave it up since they’d make money from it and the game is dead otherwise. Unfortunately not the case, MW2 is the GOAT!
