I think both can be true. Xbox exclusives in the past 7 or so years have been somewhat weak but the first three Halo games and Gears games are awesome and PlayStation owners should be excited they might get ported with trophies. Indiana jones I am cautiously optimistic about.

The Human-Turian War (The First Contact War?) and the aftermath with humanity coming into galactic society seems like it’d be ripe for adaptation as far as Mass Effect goes. Maybe some human joining a strike team of other races, with the human and the Turian on the team both having PTSD from the war and having to learn to trust one another. The effects budget a ME show would need is where my worries would lie more, though Star Trek has been handling it well.

You'd think a self proclaimed "Playstation expert" would want to give his audience his initial impressions on new hardware. It doesn't surprise me though. That said, Colin’s argument for not paying for articles basically amounted to someone going to Publix, taking free samples until they politely ask them to buy the product, and then coming back with glasses and fake mustache on to keep taking more samples. I actually don’t mind the look of the console at all. Far from my favourite but not offensive. My issue, especially with Sony seemingly trying to position the PlayStation as the iPhone of video games, is the awful and cheap packaging. When you open a new iPhone you FEEL the R&D money that Apple spends to ensure the unboxing experience is top notch. Opening the PS5 Pro box felt like such an underwhelming experience in comparison. You can’t position this thing the way Sony does and have such cheap feeling packaging. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I think a lot of Xbox discussion on the Xbox side comes from a place of concern - no Xbox fan wants to lose their digital purchases. If they keep making hardware, great! But if they keep doing this, less people will want to get an Xbox, making more reason for Microsoft to leave hardware. It’s possible they could make Xbox a PC hybrid so it could continue having a store, keep compatibility, and have access to pc storefronts and thus PlayStation games, but it’s such a hypothetical that it simply is a non discussion until we know their next generation plans.
