the Thomas Sowell essay he referenced also has virtually nothing to do with his point, it's an examination of minorities throughout history as a way to understand that discrimination against "middleman" groups (most famously Jewish populations who have historically played roles as brokers/moneylenders/etc) is a common thread in many different cultures around the world. It is not at *all* a defense of scalping—that's a complete non sequitur and made me 100% roll my eyes. Basically came off like referencing an essay to try and sound smart.

Just to make a point about the state of PlayStation publishing. Sony has published 10 PS5 exclusive games of any consequence in the life cycle of the console. In that time they've published 9 remakes or remasters. And all these of PS4 games that are easily accessible. I know it's easy money, but yeah, I would trade the 9 remasters and remakes of games that already run at 60fps on PS5, for even one Sony first party game

It's ridiculous because most games that Colin plays now are 3rd party. And when you compare it to the PS4 era, this is ridiculous. 2013 - KZ: Shadowfall. 2014 - Infamous Second Son and First Light, and TLOU Remastered 2015 - The Order and Nathan Drake Collection, 2016 - Uncharted 4, 2017 - Horizon Zero Dawn and Lost Legacy, 2018 - Spider-Man, God of War, Detroit, 2019 - Days Gone and Death Stranding, 2020 - TLOU 2, GoT, Miles Morales, and Demon's Souls remake (what a banger year). We were getting 2 exclusives a year in the PS4 gen. Now? We'd be lucky to get 1. 2021 had Returnal AND Ratchet, 2022 had Horizon FW, God of War, and TLOU 1 Remake, and last year had Spider-man 2. This year we had Astro Bot and Rise of the Ronin (although that's more a second party). I just feel like we're getting either more niche 1st party major releases (returnal and rise of the ronin) and remakes (TLOU 1 Remake, TLOU 2 Remaster, Horizon Remaster, Spider-Man Remaster). Idk, but I just prefer Ps4 gen. Also a shame about the sh*t turnout of Sony's Live Service games. Really wanted TLOU online, would've made so much money for Sony. Oh well.

Yeah that kinda sucks considering the low sales of Sonic games around the same time Alien Isolation came out. Wish that got a PS5 port or an update. Happy that Creative Assembly is back but who knows if it'll be good considering that a lot of the talent from that game is long gone.

Re: the Hurricane discussion, the major hurricane in the Northeast of recent memory was Hurricane Sandy in late 2012. Irene was a tropical storm and was weakened when it hit the tri state area. It was bad. But Sandy completed f*cked up the tri state area, Jersey Shore, NH, Connecticut, LI, you name it. Surprised Chris didn't catch that - but idk if he lived in NY then.

I live in Florida because it’s one of the few states that are going in the right direct economically, legislatively, culturally ect. Desantis is a boss when it comes to handling emergencies, and a great leader. I know he won’t be gov for ever but he set the bar and a lot of us moved here for that reason. Well, in the past, I used to lift up to 40 kilograms in each hand with free weights(dumbbells). These days, I only train at home, but nowhere near as intensively as I used to. With the arrival of kids, building a house where we did as much of the work ourselves as possible, and now the kids’ hobbies, there’s very little time left. But I still try to stay in shape :).

Don't worry Colin, I do the same thing with the trophy syncing on PS5. It's like how when I'm cleaning out my Gmail I'll hit the refresh button when I'm done, just to make sure I'm all caught up on everything. There's no NEED to do that—new emails come in automatically anyway—but it feels good to just hit that button and make extra-sure. Necessary? No. Something I like to do because I'm a kind of neurotic/OCD person? Yeah. It's a bit goofy, but I wouldn't call it psychotic. I just like to keep my digital stuff clean, synced, and organized.

Garbage disposals can get jammed. They have an Allen key hole you can stick an Allen wrench in and move the blade mechanism manually. Sometimes it just needs unsticking. This is mainly for homeowners though that don’t have maintenance men. Also don’t do this with it turned on. Oh and another thing some have an internal breaker that can trip then you need to hit a reset button.
