Just weeks removed from their Tokyo Game Show panel and they have returned once more with a Partner Preview that ran for almost thirty minutes. Before that was Gamescom and before THAT was their massive summer show. Joining the Dukes are LSM's very own Gene Park and Bradley Ellis to discuss all the announcements and gameplay (or lack thereof) during the Partner Preview. Did it deliver like prior Xbox shows or was it a bit of a nothing burger? Naturally, we get into that. We also discuss Xbox Game Studios' new lead as well as rounding out our latest criticism of Bethesda, Metaphor's impressive sales, Destiny Rising, and the future of Xbox's streaming tech!

I’m really behind on episodes because of the Mets. I’ve been listening to NY sports radio for the last few weeks. Shout out the Rico Brogna podcast with Evan Roberts. I’m really bummed the Mets lost but I am hopeful for the future. I wish we would have started Winker over JD games 3-4 but what’s done is done. I don’t think it will take 9 years to make it back to the NLCS again. In 2016 I bought a 15 game season plan and had a hard time making it to games because I live in Pennsylvania now. I was wondering if we could set up a LSM meet up on opening day next year for the Mets. We can celebrate together. I would be even better willing to grab the tickets for us. I’ll touch base about this next spring. But until the LFGM. 🙌

I think it's pretty wild and goofy how Matty thinks it's been a bad year for games. I and many I know have been absolutely overwhelmed with peak all year. Astrobot, rebirth, erdtree and metaphor alone are generational.

🙄 If games didn’t sell on Xbox, no developers or publishers would support it. It’s going to be like any other platform: certain games sell well on it, and certain games don’t. Anyone who’s not a Game Pass subscriber on Xbox hasn’t been trained to stop purchasing. They’re still a ‘regular’ consumer.

For real. I was Xbox 360 over PS3 but after Xbox One then Series X their dedication to their own platform when downhill. I’m not a fan of subscriptions or the “play anywhere with a screen” model. I’m a dedicated console player and PlayStation too that ball and ran with it after PS4 so I changed sides and now it’s over with.

I say this because it’s ridiculous that Xbox fans literally refuse to buy games in their platform of choice and support it. Xbox trained its gamers to expect shit for free. On PlayStation if a game comes out day 1 I want I have zero hesitation to buy it full price day 1. It’s garbage on the green side hahahaha
