Late reply, but that was just because Nintendo's operational style was woefully ill-equipped to deal with COVID. The way they work could not be less conductive to WFH. Without COVID it would have come out years prior.

That's because it's essentially an expansion to the first game that took way too fucking long to make. 6 years is a joke for what was there if we're being honest. There's not much more to talk about even if it is a better version of the first one.

People talked about BOTW for years whereas it feels like TOTK had its spotlight for a few months and that was it.

Dont agree at all with tears replacing BOTW. In fact i was so let down by tears overall that when i was done with it i went back and replayed BOTW and still found it the superior game. Tears feels bloated. The only thing it does better is the dungeons and even those werent up to series standard anyways.
