I find it far worse. They made her voices a superpower of sorts now, and the guy's dad at the end being responsible for the giants felt like a really left field pull. It's been too long for me to remember precisely but so many story elements left me disappointed. It has its moments though

Yes, thank you. The game was so bland and boring for like 75% of its runtime. It had some highlights, but I will never understand the praise. And for the record, I loved P4Golden, P5R, and Metaphor

Also - I will never understand the Persona 3 love. I thought it was awful, worst dungeon ever and no story until the last 2 months, no party social links… music and art is good but other than that - one of the worst for me

Re Cog enjoying Senua interacting with others: My theory about Hellblade 2 is that all of the people are in her head and the giants represent past trauma (since they are seemingly allegories - her mother, Dillion’s Death, her father).

Pushback on Cogs Telltale comparison when discussion Hellblade 2: Telltale has made a name for themselves in that style of game. Ninja Theory on the contrary hasn’t, they’ve been known for good combat. Hellblade 1 was more gamey. So it’s weird for a sequel, nonetheless a game from the same studio who made Dmc to make HB2

Hellblade is indeed awful. It if it is as Cog says 'their vision' then it's a completely ill conceived vision and a massive opportunity cost for the studio. Xbox doesn't need to micro manage studios but they can guide them as to what games are needed for the platform. A mediocre 5 hour walking sim is simply not what Xbox needed on any front

My thoughts exactly, Hellblade 2 is becoming the new (the) Medium game in terms of repeating the same joke/banter. He's totally entitled to his opinion but to hate the second one so much, how can you love the first one? I can't wrap my head around it. Not bothered him having the opinion but when it's repeated constantly, naturally you'll start noticing flaws in his argument.

Matty's disdain for Hellblade 2 makes zero sense to me. The game is better or on par with the first one in every aspect, except story. Its a better version of the first one. So, if you liked the first one how aren't you at least okay with the second one. Makes no sense.
