Me too, mostly joking because he is feathered, if I remember correctly, some dinosaurs were reptiles and others birds, T Rex was a bird, but I could be wrong.

Diego Urbina

Weren't dino's kind of like both? They're the predecessors to both reptiles and birds no? I should rlly look into that but im lazy 😅

George R

What an amazing done chapter- well done. I’m also interested if Iztac is going to use Nentel’s powers. Awesome story thanks

Yuval Roth

Yeh, I doubt void is going to write it, especially if she actually going to force him to consummate the "relationship"

Yuval Roth

He didn't say he want to rape her, but choke her to death over their alter

Deinos

She is just misunderstood! I think I can fix her

Dylan Alexander

I know this story is mad but having an actual child concubine is a step to far I think.

Nomad

I have a feeling that Cipetl is a shapechanger, I think they're called. It makes a lot of sense now.

Kris Bruns

Iztac literally explains in the chapter why she won't do that. It would make here look weak. Now I think she would still punish them, but she wouldn't kill Astrid. I'm worried that the "reward" will be something like making Astrid one of his concubines. Or worse, a replacement consort for Eztli.

Cerbero300

I loved the chapter. The truth is I hope to see a good massacre, win or lose I want to see the blood flow. (I hope that the later chapter immortalizes the phrase "I'm not trapped with you, you are trapped with me")

How is nobody talking about the fact that Iztac is out to rape and murder Itzacoatl. Yeah that bitch deserves it 101 times but if he’s capable of doing that he is further gone than he realizes. I remember that Itzacoatl will join the hunt in the final 2 hours. A prime opportunity to gather the undead in the forest and take her out.

MasterofNova

On one hand I see what your saying, on the other I feel like Ingrid would be a shell of a person if she lost Astrid like this. Even if we disregard her trust in Iztac just being forever damaged in my opinion as much as she seems driven to avenge her mother she seems to be equally driven to protect her sister. The Ingrid that would exist after losing such a fundamental part of her reason for truly going after the Nightlords just seems like a shadow of the one we have. Ig Void could make it work, I just don't see it happening tho. This is Iztac's moment to truly prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that he has a chance to stand against the nightlords by his own power for his allies. Even if he arranged the death of the Mother of Flowers that was honestly more unexpected accident than intentional kill. Successfully beating a Nightlord at one of their cruel games tho? That's how ya spark a true following.

Carlos Torres

Honestly I see them winning the challenge with the Hunt ending spoiled by Iztacoatl just riping Astrids head off out of spite or have her be bitten by a poisoned snake in the middle of the night.

Sam

He is also based on a trex

SirWinsALot

I really hope that bitch iztacoatl loses this challenge.

Void Herald

He's noting that he picked all of his consorts as his champions EXCEPT the sister of the person he's trying to save.

Void Herald

It's been mentioned that they're looking for a replacement consort for Eztli; someone who can fit her role in the ritual. They just haven't found the right placeholder yet.

miraca

to be honest, i don't expect them to win in this challenge. i also had thoughts about Eztli being double agent and having it revealed after the hunt, but i guess if she indeed is, then it's better to keep it for longer(?) also, what are nightlords gonna do at tears end? Eztli is part of First Emperor's seal now, but she is also consort of Iztac and is supposed to be killed with other consorts? i think, i might need to reread earlier than planned

Yuval Roth

I can't believe that vampire, calling Itzil a lizard when his species name is literally feathered tyrant, he is a bird! that racist piece of shit /j

Yuval Roth

He already said she wouldn't from his read on her personality, killing Astrid anyway, at least now, would lose her face, make her seem weak, if he won, he thinks she would shrug it off and punish him instead with her gift, I do think she might use Astrid again in the future though, just unrelated to this punishment, hopefully she would die this night, but I don't have much hope he can pull it off, he can have Astrid escape, but I doubt he can score a kill, unless his mom is preparing something.

miraca

"My party was complete. Ingrid’s fellow consorts had gathered to protect her kin. The irony wasn’t lost on him. " im sorry, but it's lost on me

Joel Magnuson

Even odds on that Atrid lives through this, but Iztacoatl has her killed anyway from sheer "if I can't win nobody can". Iztacoatl seems like the type.

Nicholas

Well, it's not like we had any chance to love Itzacoatl anyway, so as far as I'm concerned this is just gasoline on Iztac's blood. Although the silver lining here is that we finally get to see the consorts acting like a team without the need to keep up too many appearances.

Joseph Barratt

Wow. This is amazing. I need more!

Dune Black

You're right. I despise her. I want her to burn. Kudo to you for writing such an horrific an hatable villain.

Yuval Roth

I don't think so, even if he lost, Ingrid might be less loyal, love him less, but her anger at the nightlords is pretty cemented, Astrid dying just means their only means of punishing her are personal torture, and she would presumably hate them enough to risk it anyway, especially when they killed Astrid even when she seemingly did nothing, it is pretty obvious she would be tortured in some way the next time they felt like hurting him, when you have nothing to lose, spite takes over.

Yuval Roth

I don't particularly hate her more, this was kind of expected, Astrid being raped too if captured and her head being mounted on their bedroom isn't particularly surprising.

MasterofNova

Honestly, last chapter cemented the hate but honestly Nightlords inherently get hate just due to all the shit they've done with/through their empire. In regards to the hunt tho, I'm most interested to see what Chikal can do. Although she said she fought Nightkin before she did not say that she personally killed one or more importantly, soloed one. Weirdly enough tho I'm not very stressed about Astrid's chances for survival since her death would thoroughly mangle his relationship with Ingrid. Sure it would be interesting to see such a relationship but I feel like it's too depressing even for this story.
