Void should comission pictures of the lighthouse, the Castle etc. too

Aglovale Sempai

Also Simon does do anything in Balzam's Reigns to try and kill him, like binding himself to the Zodiac Fiends

Rhodri Thornber

Yeah, Void's real name is maxime

Simeon Dobromirov

are void herald and maxime the same person?

Navarog

But. We know already why new overlords have more reigns, you need only math and good knowledge to know how many reigns overlord have. And next one should have less then Simon.

Hive Tyrant

Good to see some elves are still around!

Alibhai

What are the chances that a deity-type figure is also aware of the loops? The zodiac fiends are at least aware of something being unnatural, even if they don't know what it is, and if we are to assume the Eidolon are on the same level as them. Perhaps someone stronger sees with greater clarity....like a certain Mana Goddess?

This lighthouse is an interesting place. The dark dwells in its basement while the light sits at its apex. Initially, in the previous chapter, I assumed the reason Mastemo felt familiar was the Overlord class. Now I have to wonder how Simon plays into it. Maybe Simon turns out to be weirdly compatible with prayers and whatnot. I must assume that an overabundance of dark affinity and very weak light affinity would make it very difficult. Yet his erased past as a paladin and his dormant visionary powers should also play a role. Regardless of what happens, I am 100% sure his instructors are going to be very confused.

Zanareth

That's understandable but a prayer is an active link compared to the paladin's passive sense

George R

Really love this reign

Alibhai

Please 😮‍💨 do you sincerely believe Simon won't manage to find trouble? Keep in mind, the academy was supposed to be a safe place, and somehow he found a shape-shifting dragon. While also finding a burgeoning rebellion a hop and a skip away.

Alibhai

I don't have time for that. The world's end begins in a year and a half. 3 years? let's aim for 3 months - Simon probably

Alibhai

Wizened old mage: What is the most strongest power in the world? Young naive apprentice: The power of Love? Wizened old mage: NO IT'S CHRONAMANCY!! *Zaps apprentice* Tho lightning is a personal favorite.

Arthur Glenn

Simon's visionary powers are what let him routinely kick Balzam's ass in his past reigns. Simon being with the white unicorn and eventually becoming a paladin means he was on the Oracle's side, and she definitely has ways of unsealing Simon's true powers. Not to mention, just being a paladin gives Simon a massive boost in prestige with dryads and eidolons, plus Simon's natural charisma meant that the Simon of before probably used prayers a hell of a lot more than the current Paladin. I can see why Balzam died 17 times to Simon.

Alibhai

I'm guessing it will depend on where Simon is at (narrative-wise) and how the readers feel. So far in the story, most reigns have been wildly different from the previous one. In fact, I'm pretty sure that is specifically mentioned in the story summary. However, I don't see why Simon couldn't go to the same place multiple times, just taking different and interesting approaches.

Walker Hayse

the scale is truly fantastical and more than just a skyscraper. the burj khalifa is only 163 floors. The lighthouse must truly pierce the heavens

Flufflez

Improvements to his spellcasting and understanding of the reigns is something I'm looking forward to. Though, I could see his expanded knowledge of chronomancy leading to him realizing just how much he does not know about the reigns.

Brahman Brahman

If Eidolons are equivalent to the zodiac demons, does that mean Simon could bind them once he unlocks his Visionary power?

Tenebris77

I was wondering about something. Usually, when we start a new reign, Simon will be doing something entirely new and different but will there be a reign where he'll be doing the same thing as in a previous reign albeit differently? Like the Seasonal Key arc. Would he ever do it again but alter the previous end so he could catch the spider before she teleported etc...?

hi angus

Chronomancy, huh? Seems fitting for a time looper….

ConstanTeen

I guess the pace of this reign would be rather slow with a lot world building and character interactions, a time to stockpile chapters , then. xD

CentaureHeart

Simon is going to speed run that test

Sly Bayesian Fox

This Reign might not be as funny as the previous one, but I'm liking it already! The mood shift is great. And Simon can prove himself in a structured environment, instead of the chaos of life!

Sly Bayesian Fox

AIIIIIE, so much new information! So, is the Overlord class functioning like Demons? Like, the more fear the Overlord inspires, the more powerful it gets? That would explain why the number of reigns have increased: as the Overlord class gets more infamy and conquer, its powers increase

alejandrox

Thanks for the chapter! This will be interesting!

Zenmeerkat

I hope we get some combat tricks besides just insight into the reign mechanics

Jasus

I always love when a fantasy world has appropriately fantastical places. A lighthouse the size of skyscrapers adorned with terraces paints a lovely picture.

Black Rose

Publius Decius Mus

I think the anathemic secrecy will allow him to fool the megaliths and let him cast a prayer spell. He is able to hide himself from the Paladin, why not from a mana-charged rock then?

Dao Seven

1 P.S. Thanks for the chapter.
