Tiny (probably final) update to my Shipbreaker VR mod, + it's now free & open source
🕑 Added 2022-10-06 22:17:36 +0000 UTC- Now using Rai Manager, like my newer mods, for easier install / update process.
- Fixed parts of the UI not rendering correctly in VR (like the face silhouette bug).
- Fixed parts of the UI being invisible even when VR was disabled.
I know this isn't a super popular game around here, but I understand a few of you may be disappointed that it never became a fully-fledged mod. There are a few reasons for me to drop it:
- The game just never grew on me.
- It's an annoying game to mod. It's set up in a complicated way, and the process of developing was slow.
- Performance is awful. Unlikely that I'd be able to improve it easily.

I alpha backed this one, and it has only gotten better. You have made it complete by adding VR. Very much appreciated.

I was expecting a Desktop app by which any of your VR game mods could be accessed through a central point. It seems as though 'each' Rai Manager is specifically linked to a specific mod/update, so I'm thinking my desktop is going to have a lot your folders on it, and each Rai Manager within each folder is unique to that specific game. The only reason I didn't start the game using Rai Manager was to see if I could still start it 'old school', or if I had to use Rai Manager or the Itch.io app from this point on.

the Rai Manager exe needs to be next to all the other files included in the folder. Otherwise it won't work. But you can of course put a shortcut on your desktop that points to RaiManager.exe. There should be no problem running the game manually from outside Rai Manager though. Are you having issues with that? With the XboxPC version you might need to start it once via Rai Manager, but other than that you should be able to run the game normally.

Yeah, I'll be one of the few wishing for more. The game was never a 'daily driver' for myself, but for how others may relax with Farming Simulator, this game was my unwinding game a number of times. While not in the same league as Lone Echo, the scope of the playground around the ship is enormous, and having this game in VR made the playspace highly immersive for myself. I installed the latest update using your Rai Manager, but started the game manually (like in prior releases). Can the Rai Manager.exe file itself be placed in desktop, and started that way? This game would have been even better if motion controls were feasible, but nonetheless, I appreciate the ability to play this in VR.
