Hmm. He's totally still a demon. He matched with Adam, which means there's something there that COULD have happened, like, he COULD have appealed to a protective instinct and thus gotten his hooks in that way. OR he could be just vulnerable enough that Adam feels OK hurting him, which makes him a temptation of a different kind that means Adam's damning himself in a more twisty way.
