I had considered adding more of the morning leading up to the 4:30pm meet time that day, but ultimately decided I wanted Ethan's threat to be the last thing hanging in the air before before the actual confrontation in room 87. It still feels a little abrupt, I think, but I also didn't want to unnecessarily stretch out the scene beyond the implication that we've transitioned to the next day and Ethan's been watching the clock obsessively.
Scene transitions are still something I feel I have to improve upon in my work, even 400+ pages in, so it's something I'll keep in mind going forward! :)

well... Im going to be honest. Please understand, I know you are proud of your work, and want a nice clean story, but Ive kinda fallen in love with it, and hate that the ending is looming. Fuck smooth transitions. Im a greedy thirsty bitch and want to continue reading your comic for as long as I can. You built such a foundation and there is just so so much to explore, in these relationships, the past, the future, the world building youve done. I love it, and am a glutton for it. Sorry not Sorry.
