Sketchbook - Rough Layouts Progress
🕑 Added 2023-12-13 14:00:08 +0000 UTCI've moved back to doing the page roughs in a sketchbook for my December Plan-a-thon, and I wanted to share a peek at what that looks like. Er, a blurry peek. ( Β΄ β½ ` )οΎ
I really like using grid paper for comic page planning, it helps me be consistent in panel sizing/fitting several pages on one page. This method is a lot easier for me to see how pages flow together rather than trying to compare digital sketches against each other on a monitor - and as a bonus, I get to take a break from staring at screens all day. It's win-win!
I've got 16 pages roughed out so far. I hope to rough out all the rest of the entire story this month (that's a big ask, we'll see how far I actually get, haha), because the planning stage is the hardest for me to do on the fly every couple of weeks. I still have to actually draw the pages, of course, but once I've got the framework done here, that part is a lot easier to do!

It's been really great returning to the old paper and pencil method for this part π

I'll definitely share them as the pages are ready to go live!

Hey, if Peter Jackson can have six sequential epilogue endings in LOTR, then so can you.
