🕑 Added 2024-06-14 17:59:04 +0000 UTCViolence and a few panels of gore on this page, and since the gallery just displays all images in a set without a click-thru, I put it in a link below so you aren't just casually scrolling the app and get hit with it all of a sudden.
Malthus threatens to assault Ethan with Faux Al at first, but loses interest in following through when he won't play along with his bullshit. Resorting to ripping out guts in a fit of rage feels like a classic demon tactic, but we aren't gonna stay here long, thankfully! ╰[ ⁰﹏⁰ ]╯ This is the only gorey page in this scene, after this Ethan is punted into another illusion where Malthus tries a much different approach to try and break him...

this is brutal - but .... the collar.... the collar/halo/binding that holds the real al, here on malthus starts at a distance from his skin just like al's. and then as he grows these ...thorns/horns/spikes, the collar closes in to be on his skin. ... i got a feeling..... -squint- Asmo, your work is so well thought out, every page has some little something in the details. something's here and i'm LIVING for the visual narrative <3

Yep! Malthus needs to experience a very sssllllooooooooowwwww and painful demise! Ike falling into the plague after Al and Ethan hand him his dick on a platter!! I still think that daddy is going to show up! Maybe to give his blessings to the both of them! 😅🙏🏼
Asmodeus
I wouldn't worry too much! Malthus makes a pretty unconvincing Al, and Ethan isn't gonna put up with this forever :)

Malthus inserting 'nightmare Al' as a trauma wedge between Ethan and Real Al TmT I just hope Ethan and Al can stay together and work through it properly because my heart is gonna get ripped out and shredded if they can't >m<
Asmodeus
Al is taking on the physical damage, but the mental part in an illusion is all on Ethan ( ´△`)

I'm definitely not a fan of the "villain gets increasingly over-the-top-depraved so we'll remember how evil he is!" device. I do appreciate that we aren't going to meander here, though.

(Deflecting the ugliness with a logistics question) Presumably Ethan feels pain even though it "isn't real." Does the transference have Al feeling this pain or just "real" pain?

☹️ this is hard to read ;poor ethan. Malthus made himself a monster Ethan is so small in the last panel

Well that’s entirely unnecessary. Rearranging internal organs isn’t meant to be this messy.

Yuuuuuuuup I was expecting things to take a turn for the "this", and surprised it took this long
