Day 23: UI Re-Design Concepts
🕑 Added 2023-06-25 16:21:29 +0000 UTCI've said it many times before, but I'm quite unsatisfied with the game's user interface, and I'm always wondering how it could be improved. At various points throughout the game's development, I've asked artists to imagine and illustrate potential new designs for the UI - and here's a collection of concepts that they've come up with!
Overhauling the UI is probably one of those things that would make people think "Whoa, the game looks completely different now than it did a few years ago! That developer actually has been working on his game!" so there's a not-insignificant chance that the UI will get various improvements between now and the crowdfunding campaign.

I do think that, if we are not able to implement the new character models before the campaign, then the UI should definitely be improved until then.

the 3rd is so nice ! It would allow the game to display the speech bubbles you mentioned in a previous video ( at the bottom right for example).
