Normally in Japanese, "busu" means "ugly", but! Another way to say "island" (shima/jima) is "toh", so you could read it incorrectly as "busuto", and Chigusa is a gravure model who has quite the chest, so… yeah. Stealth pun there. (Japanese actually uses "bust" as a loanword for exactly that, but it's spelled "basuto").

You did it. You kept your promise and put out a game -- it does fit the criteria -- with ten rivals and proved a LOT of people wrong. I hope you're proud of yourself. You should be. I love how 80's mode fulfills several things at once -- puts Ryoba's backstory in context, returns missing characters, and honestly feels more polished than the primary game despite (or because of) its lack of unique events, cutscenes, voice acting (Michaela aside). Also, glad some puns (better ones!) remain in 80's Mode. "Ui Tsunesu" is glorious. Haters still hating, but I think you've proven yourself enough that you can say -- "Hey. I made this game. It's not just a concept or a sandbox. But I want to make it better. To do that, I need to be able to hire professionals and that costs money." Word Of Advice from stuff I've read about crowdfunding campaigns over the last week because I'm currently supporting two: Do Not start it before the new year. People don't like to give during the holiday season or immediately after.

The current version of 1980s Mode is pretty much complete, barring some slight tweaks and improvements that it will get in the future. (I've already prepared a new build with a lot of bug fixes.)

I'm a 90s kid myself but I remember these style of monitors being all the rage for all the gaming through my childhood. Just a sense of nostalgia running through me watching bloods stream. I'll definatly test this when I get a moment.
