They could add an AI system to Yandere Simulator 1980s that: Impacts student deaths in both custom and canon modes: This could involve randomly shuffling students, eliminating some altogether, or even opening and closing clubs based on events in the 1980s. Makes murders in 202X more challenging: For example, the incinerator might become tamper-proof due to safety upgrades across generations. Allows you to unlock student houses once you've gained their trust: Each house could have unique items to steal and use at school, with the discovery of these items potentially causing a drastic relationship drop. I understand these features would require significant effort and programming, but they would add a lot of replayability and depth even after the game's main story ends. Additionally, introducing the detective to the second day investigating deaths, expulsions and suicides would further improve the gaming experience. Here are some additional suggestions to consider: -The AI system could learn from the player's actions, adjusting its influence and consequences over time. -Student houses could offer alternative elimination methods or act as safe havens during police chases. -The detective's investigation could be influenced by evidence, witness testimonies, and the player's reputation.

maybe if the map for placing showed every object in the school like a birdseye view it would be easier? idk if it could be implemented but i think a lot of people would find it easier in general

I understand how useful this feature would be for players, but it would be difficult to implement without having a way to visually represent where all chairs / benches in school are located. I can't promise it at this point in time, but I'll keep it in mind as something important that players would appreciate.

I think that using a map which you can see the objects would be a better idea than a pink minimalist map because I want to make that my student hangout he sits on a chair and I don’t know exactly where it is on the map

I'm sorry, but this is the player's fault. If you attempt to tell a student to go somewhere they physically cannot reach, of course it will cause problems.

Eventually, I'd like to add text onscreen that explains what each action and destination are. It's just not a feature of the initial release. Creating a system similar to Sims 4 would take a tremendous amount of time and work. I can consider it, but it's not something I am ready to promise just yet.

Hi. Updating the game involves completely re-downloading the entire game. If you want to retain things from build to build (such as your save data, custom mode data, etc) you need to make a copy of all the save data in your StreamingAssets folder and put it into the save data directory of the new build that you downloaded.

For custom mode can the map not be pink when you are picking where the student does their “custom patrol #1 and #2” & “custom hangout”, cause there is no way to tell where objects are? for example, if you put a student in the middle of the faculty room, there is the table in the middle of it, so when the student gets there they spin in circles.

Hiii yandere dev! The update has been amazing!!! Im in love with the new features!! But Im having trouble with custom mode when I want to edit students routines. Its just so confusing. I have no idea what or where my student is going to do with EightiesStrechSpot, WitnessSpot Podium, Stairway Teach, Jog…. It has no explanation nor image so I have no idea what my student is going to do. Also would be cool if the edit hair for students interface would be similar as The Sims 4 interface when you can see which hair are you using instead of scrolling numbers…. It’s just so annoying rn. Also, I would really really love to give to the female students the ayano’s hairsssss. Pls make it happen

uh so, I updated the game and my custom save file didn't load up. I still have the previous one also downloaded in case this would happen. what do I do? do i have to remake the characters every update?

I do feel that Custom Mode should support this feature. Otherwise, every week in every Custom Mode playthrough will feel identical to the previous week. It's going to be the placement of students throughout the school that makes a playthrough feel like a "10 week story" and not "1 week repeated 10 times." The initial release of Custom Mode might not support this feature, but eventually, it definitely should.

As an aspiring game developer myself, I don't even know how you pulled off 99% of the features shown in this video and I don't even know how I would go about making a school that can be designed or randomized so there's no way I would expect you to do the same. Keep on keeping on Yan Dev, all this work looks amazing and I can't wait to spend many, many hours playing around with it.

You will be able to enable/disable the Yakuza from the "Miscellaneous Options" screen. The names and portraits in the Yakuza menu will reflect the students that you created for Custom Mode. However, you won't be able to customize his prices, his services, which students he wants, etc.

In the initial release of Custom Mode, students will perform one routine for every week. However, if enough players ask for it, then I could consider the possibility of letting players dictate different routines for every week. It would be a little difficult to design an interface for this, though...it's a LOT of data to give the player control over, and to store and load.

Currently, it's possible to assign any Persona type to the characters of 1980s Mode. You can make a "Phone Addict" exist in 1989. However, when he sees murder and he gets to the part of his code where he decides what to do next, he realizes that he is not in possession of a cell phone (the same code that governs how a student should behave if their phone has been stolen) and reacts to the murder by running to a rotary phone or payphone.

In the initial release of Custom Mode, it will not be possible to change student genders. After I've created a working gameplay mode where the player can customize student appearances and confirming that everything works properly and there are no bugs, I can begin to gradually expand Custom Mode with new features like choosing student gender - all male, all female, etc. I anticipate that I would discover a lot of problems when attempting to do so, since I would run into situations where students can't perform their routines because of missing animations. For example, there are no male "playing musical instrument" animations. (It would be possible if I had a process for converting female animations to a male skeleton, but I'm no longer in contact with the one volunteer I knew who could do that.) Another thing to consider is "Do players want me to spend my time adding new features to Custom Mode, or do players want me to implement the remaining 202X rivals?" If the majority of players are far more interested in seeing 202X completed and only a small minority cares about Custom Mode, then I probably won't devote much time to updating Custom Mode.

I got a question, with changing a student’s hair color if you do manage to add in a color wheel in the future would we be able to dye the students hair and make it look like the light music club members or make it rainbow colored etc.
