Discord can definitely provide a space for discussion, but as others have said, it can also spread into other categories… I guess is the best way to phrase it. I’m an admin for the infinite world discord, and it started as one channel for the series, and now it’s just massive. It’s also a great place to just make announcements to people following you in case you take a break, or are going on vacation, etc.

Good for you! And yes Discord is pointless for the most part if you want constructive discussion about your book. They usually turn into random E/N hangouts for like minded people. It'll likely just be a distraction and time waster than a benefit for you.
