🕑 Added 2018-10-16 23:21:43 +0000 UTC Hi guys, I hope you are all well.I wanted to ask you guys what you think about an option I have. It's to charge patrons up front when they first pledge, for that month.
I have noticed I get a lot of pledges around the time of the release of a new update, but when the end of the month comes a lot then get deleted.
Personally I'm not too bothered. I prefer that the people that give their money, do so because they want to support this project, not because they were obligated to do so.
On the other hand if you guys don't like the idea of people viewing the content on here without honouring their pledge I'm willing to implement it.
Let me know what you guys think, I might put up a poll or somthing.

I'm not so familiar with patreon payment system, but are you saying that they didn't get charged when they join member to view content? I thought you get charged immediately regardless, otherwise this will be a very bad exploit for all patreon projects.
Yep, charge up front for sure. No idea why they even allow the end of the month option since it gets abused so often.

I love these renders! Awesome! Look, just charge up front. If you got a system that has potential to be abused, it's human nature to abuse the shiznick out of it. Most will end up downloading it off some 'FAP' site anyway. How you think I found this game and developer? :-D

Hilarious renders! As for charging - up front is the way to go. Most devs are using it now. There will always be pirates, but this way you can know that those of us who choose to pledge to you really mean it.
Just charge up front. People will abuse this system to no end otherwise.
