[Poll] More 'How To' videos?
🕑 Added 2025-05-19 16:36:42 +0000 UTC
Hi!
Just a quick poll to understand if people here would be interested in some videos on how to make stuffs in Blender, in addition to the MustardUI ones. They might be about how to make models, add some tricks/effects (like in the quick animation I posted recently on Twitter, but I can't post here - Patreon rules) and other general Blender stuffs.
Just consider that I'm far from being an expert, but I accumulated some experience with tools in Blender. Some of them might not be as intuitive as they should be, and sometime some tutorial might be of help.
Just a heads-up — the videos won’t be fancy (no voiceovers, music, or special effects). I’m not sure spending time on that would add much value, but I’m open to feedback.
Let me know also in the comments if you have any advice, or topic that you would like to see covered by video tutorials. :)
EDIT 21/05: Quick video on how to make catchlights for eyes added: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYrV5js7KLM

A series of videos on that would be nice. I'd have to make my skills in making videos a bit better though, atm I'm just basically posting recordings. It's fine for small videos, but if you need to explain complex things..

I've been using Blender for a long time, but like everyone else, as an artist you have to choose which path you want to follow and I decided to dedicate my time to learning animation and I'm not very good at making models for example, I tried to make a model with a video that Rigid3D made using his rig which is really cool, but the process is a lot of trial and error, some things are not very clear in the video, Could you show how your process is to make a model, using Blender, Wrap, Daz, Substance Painter, Photoshop etc... if you're interested in making a video here's a suggestion. Thanks a lot for the models :) Keep up the good work.

Nice suggestion, I can try to make videos on this :)

would love a how to on how to edit/sculpt a model for a specific pose, say they are grabbing a leg how do I sculpt the leg and not lose the texture
Mustard
I have to be careful :D
Hades2Eros
Do a healthy bit of both. Keep yourself from burnout with either
Mustard
Like Python scripting?

Thanks for the kind words. :) I wasn't thinking about a whole course in Blender (mainly because there are already a lot of Blender courses out there), but for sure I can make some videos on how to start in the parts I work the most on
Mustard
:)

Sculpting in general would require an extensive video course I guess. But for sure I can show some tricks I use, if they are interesting
ELARTISTA3D
create video about how you program in blender

Yes please!

Would love tutorial videos from you! I've always been really interested in how to work with blender but I'm not really sure where to start. People like you and some other creators are why I'd even like to start.
DJLegends
It would be awesome to get how to videos from you! The more the merrier lol

I'm always super eager to build up blender skill sets and like things like modelling which are far outside my sphere of knowledge I'm super eager to learn, but anything you could think of, like effects, lighting, etc etc would be more than appreciated!
