It’s been so long since I’ve watched this movie. Loved having both the nostalgia reactions from Des and Greg’s novel reactions. Also appreciate the love given Bill Paxton. I met him at the TCM Film Festival about a year before he passed. Such a sweet, considerate man.

I remember in the months leading up to Titanic's release how all the Hollywood "experts" were predicting that this would be another Heaven's Gate. In other words, an epic failure that could potentially bring a studio to the brink of insolvency. At least they got the "epic" part right.
