I can confirm, at least my 2018 Mazda3 2.4 liter hatch, does indeed need full synthetic, every 5000-7500 miles.

Minivans like this are such ideal vehicles. They're utilitarian as hell but still look and drive like cars. We could use more of these and fewer crossover things.

So, Mazda 5 really being Mazda 3 is the same logic as Honda Stream. That's an EP3 Civic, but taller and can seat 7 people. A manual K20 minivan.
