On my first full album listen, this became one of my fav song trio (the others being Haegeum and Snooze) This mv hits me hard too. I was on holiday out of my country when it dropped and even though I was flat out tired after whole day sight seeing, I still watched it couple of times before going off to bed. The symbolism and set design which were from Yoongi's own ideas, highlight the starkness of his situation and how it was for him, back then. I agree with you re physical self harm. However I believe and hope that particular phase has passed
