That was a comment for the previous versions. The latest version can use Reward version and CAS version together! 😉
Hi! In the post it says "Download下載: (You can use both or either one.)" but I see the comment above where you say that we need to choose either one due to them using the same trait IDs, and I just wanted some clarification on what to do? :)

No, you need to choose either one version. They use the same trait IDs. That means only one version would show up in the game when you install both.

Technically you can still add them to your Sims without Seasons for using the name but you don't get the game effects. The theme of this pack is allowing Sims to have special responses to different weathers, as an add-on for Seasons (coz it doesn't come with CAS traits), so it probably could not be BGC. 😅 However, I will make a base game spirit animal mod which I think it will be quite similar to this one so you may look forward to that!
